You just roll up there and say yo bro can you check my codes. an they'll be like sure brosef! Lemme get my sweet OBDII scanner and hook you up. Then they'll scan it then you will go back inside and they will give you a print out of the code and the description of the code.

Subscribed! My light popped on two days ago. I took it to the dealer, and they told me they couldn't read it, to bring it back when it was between 3/4 and 1/4 tank ?!?

If I can just go to Autozone, that'd make life much easier.

I dont know about the New Tacomas..... I got mine scanned at Autozone one day after work with a full tank o gas in the middle of the week... Thats weird that they want you to come back at 3/4 and 1/4 tank o gas... Maybe thats when your toyota knows exactly when to allow toyota to read codes??? lol. But for 1st gens you can go whenever you feel like it...

I'm lucky if the punks can drink at my Autozone. They sure couldn't tell me squat about hooking up Hella's.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
I don't think they will do that in Cali any more.
