I actually have read that inch is pulling with your non-dominate hand. How true that is or isn't, I don't know.

Regardless I've got the ones in cranked. I've got the base setup now, don't know what I'll ultimately choose for the next seat. I like the Chicco NextFit for the convertible seat.

That is true, I guess it would depend on who is shaking the seat and how hard. I usually try to move it at arms length and not really trying to shake the shit out of it. I just judged by how hard the fireman was pushing the seat to make it move.

That one's nice. I like the a frame tongue, far more stable than just the straight tube tongue.

I usually grab it with both and shake the shit out of it. If it barely moves it's good. Getting them unhooked is a giant pain in the dick though, unless you have the one @Pugga was talking about before where the seat opens up and clamps down on the belt.

 

HVe you had to take pliers to the release mechanism on any of them yet? The bases didn't have the quick release so you had to release the tensioner thing in order to get the hooks off.

 

Mine (Keyfit 30 Zip) is pretty easy. At first I thought it was dominate hand...err both hands so I was going nuts trying to make it fit.

I like ours all things considered.

 

I have talked about making it into boat trailer and attaching some sort of box to the front for life jackets. I want the rack and box to double as storage at home. Till then we have

 

Ah, fills up the bed so no one borrows it to move - smart. Latch them to the tie downs?

No, I still have to help people move. I sealed my fate with that by getting a cap. When it comes to moving, I will actually take the car seats out and use the full cargo capacity of the truck to help out friends and family. I just mean, if a group of us want to go somewhere at work, I never have to drive because I can only carry 2 other people and one of them needs to cram between 2 car seats in the back.

Some snow on the ground here today, maybe an inch or two. But, it's supposed to be almost 40 today so I'm sure it'll disappear fairly quickly.


Got to use my remote start yesterday, though. That was convenient

Not sure when they made the switch, though. My '84 has the large blade fuses, the '69 has glass ones. My '73 Mercedes had the glass ones too.
