It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.

pretty much this. i knew a guy with one and he couldnt wait to get rid of it. im sure they are reliable but they would have to drop it more than a g to compete with wr

WR is the best buy. But I wasn’t spending more money on a 250 than I paid for my 400

The DRZ hadn’t been started in over three weeks. Just fired it up. The battery was almost flat. But it fired on the third crank. Let it warm all the way up and took it for a lap around my hood in the dark. Holy shit does the cold air wake a carburated motor up.

However. My rear brake no longer works. Like at all. I think the piston is shot. Its been sticking 1/4 of the way down all summer and i’ve had to upshift it to make it release and make my brake light go back to just the running light. So now i have to figure out how to fix that. :frusty:

you dont have a tender? The FZ is up on stands and on the tender. The Z125 has not been turned on in a while. I was going to ride to work today, but it was 40 in the morning. Too cold for anything.

just make sure its a decent tender. not one of those POS that are always on sale at cycle gear. ive had to buy two new batteries because of those.

i had three of them. one of them my sea doo battery sat on all winter showing green, and was at like 8 volts when i tested it next spring. another one just started flashing every time i hooked it up, even when following the procedure to plug it into wall, cables, and battery in the instructions. the last one worked but i threw it away and got a battery tender brand for like 50 bucks. mine could have been a bad run or something

I've never used a tender on any of my bikes. Always have started right up. Even the CRF that sits for 2-3 months at a time. The truck on the other hand always gets a dead battery after sitting for a couple weeks.

Don't you have a spring on the brake pedal? The master cylinder wont push the pedal back, that should be a spring. If you still have brake pressure and no leaks the piston in the cylinder should be fine
