Austin Area TW Chapter (all gens welcome, even T4Rs; heck, just make it a Toyota and we're good)

i know i'm late to the party, but ATPs were the best wet weather tire I've had on any truck/ SUV (slightly more aggressive older brother to the AT3). i'd have gotten a 2nd set for my 4Runner had they been available in 275.

 

I've got Falken AT3w's and I love them. they're quiet and they perform great in the rain and even off road. By no means are they a mud tire, they'll pack up if it's really sticky but I've had them a couple months now and I love them.

 

It does sound beefy! I wanna do a magnaflow one of these days! How much the headers run you? Were they a bitch to put on?

 

I have the Cooper at3 now and I have been very happy with them so far...my nitto terra grapplers were horrible in the rain. The coopers outperform them in wet conditions in my own experience.

 

They weren't too bad, had to disconnect the steering shaft to finagle them in.

 

I have the Grabber AT2s now and they are great in the wet. Haven't done much off road with them yet, but I'm fairly happy. I got them second hand with about 60% of their tread left, and they were never rotated and over inflated, so.. they have a little noise to them from the uneven tread wear. Now that I am taking care of them, they are starting to wear more evenly.

I’m on my first set of aggressive tires, so I don’t have much to compare with, but my Cooper ST Maxx do pretty well on wet roads. Not as well as my all-season tires did, but still pretty good. I had a set of Geolanders before which were semi-aggressive and those were ridiculously bad.

 

Tell Randy we all say HI and that he should buy a tacoma and come hang out at TnT

I have Pathfinders on my truck. quite and cheap. have held up good in the 7K or so miles I put on them so far

 

More mod money’s changed my boss rotors an pads all 4wheels today while on the clock can’t beat that. 13 ram ecodiesel 2wd really NICE truck...it’ll be handed over to @Texoma for when I get my sliders.
