does anyone know if the rubber seal on my cap will wear the bed rails down to primer or something? I figure they'll have the same effect as bed liners, any way to prevent this? Not trying to keep the rails mint or anything they're already pretty beat up but I don't wanna have ugly white rails if I take the cap off.

Cold weather's here so soup and stew time. Did a 6lb pork shoulder in green sauce last week. That's gone as of yesterday so with a little help from chef Mike a big pot of spicy curry and pepper lentil soup is on the stove.

Forgot to mention, with SUA and shocks going through the bed I moved the lower shock mounts over the springs which creates a lot of space between the tire and bypass tubes. IMG_3389.jpg

This is part of the reason why I abandoned mounting the 14" bypasses with my SOA. What I did find out while attempting that setup was you can face the tubes inward without frame contact because of how far the lower mount kicks the shock out toward the wheel. With enough backspace (through wheel backspacing and spacers) you can successfully mount bypasses that have the standard layout.

It would definitely take a leap of faith as I have little proof. I never fully cycled my mock-up. I've seen only one other example from afar by TC. They used 1.5" spacers, faced the tubes inward using 14" triple bypasses, under bed shock hoops with 285s. And even though they used a SUA, the lower mount had to go so low on the axle it had to stay outboard of the leaf pack.

Ordering forward facing tubes may be the better option depending on the mounting system you choose and clearance between the tower, hoops, etc.IMG_3390.jpg

I just started to realize going that route wasn't exactly what I wanted in the end, so I took the leap and ordered the DMZ kit, 16" shocks and designed and built a bed cage and still have virtually all my bed space.

It's a shameless DMZ copy, but came out very nice considering I went solely off of photo espionage.

    Goddamn these parts are pretty.

    IMG_20171114_174813968.jpg

On a different note, did I mess up with the rear brakes? I ordered a single rear brake line. Am I going to need 2, or is ti just 1 I need? My limited understanding was that one line goes into the BPV and that line is what needs to be extended.
