Truck Camping Photo Thread

The weather turned to shit on us.. rain, wind, cold... but the first few days on Assateague Island were awesome. Want to go back in the warmer weather for sure.

 

We have a R-Pod (with R-Dome) on order, should get it any day Looks like a great time before the weather turned on you.

 

Nice.. this is season 2 for us and we are loving it. R Dome is great too....

except when its the middle of the night and the wind is kicking it all over the place. It took me forever to get down because the wind and rain had it glued up against the side of the camper and the suction would not let it slide out of the track.

How is it camping in the bed? Kind of tight? Or are you comfortable?

How'd it do in the sand?

 

It's a little bit of a low ceiling but you get used to it. I would consider the Sport Hiliner version, the taller one. They don't look as sleek as the rebel but you would get a ton more head room.

I really got used to it after the first night.

a very wet and cold weekend...sat phone forecast called for snow, never got it. ended up with almost 3 inches of rain in a span of two days

 

I should've knocked when I saw you at the old Gander. I would love to see more pictures of your topper setup and the inside if you have them. Or in person if you come back up to Thornton before you leave for the winter as you mentioned in the Upcoming Colorado Events thread.

TopperEZLift bundles a universal fit kit for just about any shell/truck combo. The actuators are fluid free and run off your battery, the kit comes pre assembled. The actuators are capable of lifting up to 900lbs slowly. I've driven at highway speeds with the topper all the way up, not recommended. I've added the Total Chaos bed stiffeners to eliminate the slight shell shift I would get after off roading a bit.
