I want to build my plate rear ( takeing measurements for it now) and do a "boat exit" exhaust.

So it'll come up to clear the axle then go straight and make a turn and come out the wing of the high clear rear.

I wouldn't recommend that. It sounds cool and all, but you really want the P-trap effect it has where it goes over the rear axle. It makes it harder for water to backflow up the pipe if the exhaust gets submerged. ;)

    Noted.

However this is still my daily so sometime cool > function.

That and I hope I never go in water deeper than my frame. Last thing I want is water in my cab/carpet. Buck a fuket full that!

Not all of us have a dedicated wolverine to ride! :D

Think I'm going to take a nap before my night shift nocturnalism kicks in so I can keep going all night. Been up most of the day so I didn't miss the signature required deliver of the pump. That and it'll give the frame a chance to dry some, URD pump/filter install to follow!

Cool is NEVER > function, period...unless you're a ricer. Function is a cool all its own.

The thing you have to consider though is even if you don't go in water up to your frame, if you get stuck, you could end up submerging your exhaust when your tires dig a rut, especially since the rear end tends to end up lower than the rest of the truck much of the time. It's one of those things where it's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

FYI, the OGT isn't technically a dedicated trail rig. It's used to haul stuff and is a backup to the T4R. It used to be my preferred ride before the T4R since I'd much rather drive the OGT than the 2000 Honda Civic the T4R replaced...but now I kinda like the T4R better for tooling around town.

That's not hard. Those 20/22R four-bangers can sound pretty awesome for four-bangers.

Ugh. That nap ended up being more of a sleep. :bored:

Back in action, a little ingenuity and the pump is out.

Well the hard part is over I guess. New pump in, just have to rig up the filter and cross my fingers she starts up without burning up. :bananadead:

I had a straight pipe on my Fiat 500. It made a wicked little growl out of its 1.4L (the MultiAir system and short shot intake may have contributed to that). Dropped it 2.5"F/3.0"R with Koni Struts and Madness springs, threw on a Road Race Motorsports rear sway bar, upper and lower braces on the front, and a short throw shifter. It was a blast to drive.

Yeah. I get that. My original intent was to get something fun for autocross. Found out after the fact the non-Abarth 500s are/were expressly prohibited by SCCA. Not to mention that the few modifications I had exceeded what was allowable for SCCA TCB class (division of the Pirelli World Challenge racing series)...

Nowhere near as insane as the Road Race Motorsports M1 Abarth. That thing was stupid fast. 240hp, 280 ft lbs of torque in a package that weighs right around 2000 lbs...

thats insane power wise lol, something that light with that much power...its crazy. Its funny though, I originally did not want to do any modifying to the Tercel...but now that ive had it a couple months....ive been wanting to haha. upgrade the suspension with new shocks and drop coils and new wheels tires. all that would run around $1,000~ give or take. which id be perfectly fine shelling out to make the thing look and drive a little better lol

To carryover the tire conversation from last week, I'll be picking up a set of Falken AT3's on my way to ONF on Friday. :D:D

I'm hopping up one size as well. Going from a 275/65 R18 Goodyear Wrangler Adventure Kevlar to a 275/70 R18 on the Wildpeaks, so from a 32 to a 33.
