What's the chatter on the 2018's?

When the VIN starts with a 3 does that mean it was assembled in Mexico, and when it starts with a 5, does that mean it was assembled in Texas?

 

Yes. 1,4,5 USA. 3 Mexico.

 

No it was a 4x4. They had like 3 of them spec’d the same (manual, 4x4, premium/tech pkgs) and they weren't selling. I read a report that said the average lot time for a tacoma was 1/2 of the normal average (normal being ~60 days at the time, tacoma being like 28 or 29 days) and these sat, and sat, and sat.... that's why I'm guessing they wanted to cut me such a deal. the price listed on their webpage was like $38,xxx, their "instant quote" that they gave me was like 36,xxx and then when I called them, they said if I put a down payment on the spot, they'd drop it down to the $34,460 price. I told them no down payment but I would entertain coming in that weekend to look *if* that were the price and he said fine, they'd stick to it.

...I called back and declined coming in to look since we had conflicting plans and I wouldn't be able to make the 2 hour drive to go see it.

 

With these options added on a TRD Sport, what is the difference between a limited (besides chrome and 18in wheels)? Can't figure out which I want

As someone who has the tech package, I agree. The TSS is a nice to have but not a must have.

 

Meh...I'm a Clazzio cover fan-boy. Probably cheaper and way more customizable.

Looks like it. That's what the last few pages of this thread have indicated. They're actually arriving on dealer lots starting now.

 

So this interior was black with gun metal? Apparently the leather also comes in graphite with gun metal interior. Dealer also mentioned a black with red rock or something along those lines.

 

"Redrock/Black leather" is what that particular color combo is called.

So you are telling me there are trd Offroad’s on some lots right now with the premium packages ? Cause the dealer said they arnt getting premium packages trd Offroad’s till August ? I’m confused and I want that cement grey Trd Offroad MT. Premium package.

 

Yeah units with premium packages are already out there...my dealer found two.

 

It might be differ on every states.. just check your Local Dealership.. i guess
