The snorkel's just there for those EAF points.

 

You don't restrict a Holset, it's not a bearing type turbo.

Awesome I'm planning to download the haltech and MS3 interface to see which route I want to go. This black Friday sounds expensive to me, lol.

 

My low oil pressure light came on before I added a large diameter restrictor to my Holset hx35. I'm using a 4an feed line. Ran with restrictor going on like 4 years now.

Yeah, I kept meaning to figure something else out, but it's been working so I just left it. Maybe I could switch to 15w-40 rotella and take the restrictor out.

 

I cannot speak for the MS3, but the Haltech is so intuitive and simple. I absolutely love it. After one other Stand Alone, the MAPECU 2, and the APR X1.

Long-term idle learning, long-term fuel learning, long-term knock and ignition learning. Outstanding.

 

Do you know if the 1000 elite has those features off hand before I start reading up on it? If I can make all the simple stuff automatic like that saves me tuning time.

You'd still have to set up your fueling Maps. As well as ignition map. However, with the aid of @arcenik 's map, it would ho very quickly.

 

The 1000 will do everything you need, minus anti lag, launch control, and other racey things

Is there a 2tr-fe plug n play option for the Haltech? I don’t see any on their website

 

Haltech doesn't make a pnp harness for the 2TR. There's a company that will make a pnp harness though. The name escapes me right now. @MrCrowntown knows who, I think.

 

Tapping into any brand’s jumper would work, I guess

 

URD sells a harness that will plug between the stock wiring and ecu that you can use to build your own pnp harness. That's what I used to build the harness for my MAPECU3.

 

Boomslang makes one for pre '11 models I believe?

It's what im using and hooks up perfectly, but I am still trying to figure out which injectors to use lol

I am using a Boomslang harness as well.
They are also capable of constructing custom harnesses.
