I know, right? Skip the Timbrens and get the extra capacity and 2 extra cylinders you really need!

$1,600 worth of damage to the Jeep. Since it's a hit and run parking lot accident I won't be surcharged but I'm out my deductible. I had originally thought if it was low enough, or if I was going to be surcharged, I'd just pay it out of pocket. On the positive side someone had bumped it before and left a tiny mark on the bumper but shifted it enough that while the average person wouldn't notice it, I would and as part of the repair, they're pulling the front bumper, so hopefully that will set the alignment back to how it should be.

    So irritating regardless.

Sadly, that's accurate... I'm hanging on to that big ole V8 though! (Even though I think it's the smallest V8 in any of the full size trucks now days...)

I plan to drive this truck till the motor explodes. Which won’t take long with a blower... (I gotta fever, and the only cure is more skinny pedal) When that happens I’ll use my dope fab skills to drop in a more substantial engine. V8 TDI outta a Toureg. Or 6bt. Or a wright cyclone. Why buy a new truck when it’s cheaper to keep driving this one and keep making it better? I don’t need to tow a house. And this fits in a regular parking space.

Not necessarily. I'm the expensive half in my house... Cupcake is very frugal.

My 81 Datsun used glass. Come to think of it, my 79 Mustang didn't. I forget if my 77 Chevy did but pretty sure it was glass

It was done long ago in Brockton MA, the Campinelli ranches. Think they've all been converted to forced by now.

I keep mine around 63 when I'm out...68-70 at night. One reason being I have no vents upstairs

I hate the forced hot air in my house.

I'm either hot or cold, no middle. With the baby we set it at 72 to keep her warm enough. My family room has older picture windows that are poorly insulated so unless we have the wood stove going, it gets breezy. The returns in my second floor are massively undersized and the previous owners cut the duct to the master bedroom when they widened the downstairs doorway to the dining room. I'd love to add central AC to the house but with the lack of returns it poses a bit of an issue. If I was willing to sacrifice a pair of closets I could do a set of return ducts and get AC in the house, or use it to pump heat to the master. However, for now I'm just leaving it as-is. My bills will go up, but so be it.

I have an awesome Haier cassette mini-split at work that handles heat and AC quite well for my office, but I learned it was $5,000 installed. I had thought that would be a great solution for my bedroom but after learning that, I'm not so sure.

Think about a faux fireplace for the family room. I have one and it does help unless it's really cold
