I'm still here. Just been busy. I get time to surf and lurk but not much else. I did manage to get my Long Range tank in. Took two full days buy I've got an extra 200 miles of range (100 if I'm towing the trailer).

Still here... Kinda. Life has been total insanity.

Finally got around to installing my skids, 700# coils on the Kings, Headstrong 3 leaf AAL, and my SPC upper control arms on.

And snuck in a weekend trip to Hatteras to get my head cleared from some stuff that doesn't belong on a public forum. Because as they say, when it rains, it pours.

Sometimes you just have to do it. Hasn't changed much, it's still raining pretty hard, but at least for a weekend I was completely removed from the situation, and got to clear my head. Well, best I could anyway.

Planning on taking a (long) day trip up to Flagpole Knob the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Again, just to get away, relax, and get my head right. You're welcome to join man.

I haven't had a chance to make it up there at all yet. Is it a fun trail?

There's 3 ways to get to Flagpole. Kind of an "easy/medium/hard" thing. But honestly the "hard" trail can be done in a stock truck.

You're more than welcome to join too, if you'd like.

Will do. I usually go up Union Springs. I'm about 2.5 hours away, so I don't get up there until 8-9 am.

I prefer the union springs route. I will try to keep it in my mind and hopefully I wont have to work. Just send me a reminder.

How do you know which is which? Are they marked or do you just know from being there? I would love to do this one with my son one day.

I just know from going there. I've hit all three. None of them are really hard. But that's also a subjective thing. Friend of mine freaked out at one spot until I made him move and idled up and over what he was worried about. But he doesn't have much off-road experience.

I'll be out of town after thanksgiving but I'm hoping to make a trip up there soon with one of my jeep buddies.

I don’t have much off road experience either, and wouldn’t try anything on my own yet. My truck is fully stock so can’t rely on a winch or anything like that.

Maybe we'll all have to plan a day trip up there. I know it's been thrown around as an idea a couple times. Personally, if I have the free time, I don't ever mind making a trip for any excuse to throw the truck in 4WD.

    I have a PerRunner. :anonymous:

Will that make a difference for which trail to take?

How long is the drive for you from Ruther Glen? I'm about halfway between you and the trail. Google Maps said it would be a 2 hour trip but it's only 70 miles and not much farther than Harrisonburg, which I can get to in about 45 minutes.
