So I ripped apart my 300 BLK bolt gun and dropped a heavy barrel 20" threaded 308 action in it. Added an AAC brake and it's ready to hit the range. Bought the action at Dick's last week. Was in there looking at duck stuff and noticed what seemed to be an AAC-SD Remy in an ADL stock instead of a Hogue stock. Price was $499, not the $699 of the AAC-SD. So, now it sits in a B&C stock with detachable bottom metal and a 6-24x Vortex PST on top. My 300 BLK was always just a range toy and an early experiment to see if I could build a reliable bolt gun before they were available from AAC (Remington). It was crazy quiet but just not very useful. This rig will punch paper and deer and get a lot more use at the range and in the field. I'll snap some pics later.

The guy I bought my Gen4 off of tried removing the grooves himself.

    Factory frames cost around $130.

Looking for a budget friendly double stack pistol mag holder for a belt, either double or triple mags, preferably with good, adjustable retention.

    Thanks!
How's it shoot? I've been eyeballing that little 22mag pistol they make, but god knows I don't need another caliber in the safe.

The Kel-Tec PMR-30 is very picky on ammo ......

The PMR-30 pistol is an auto-loading firearm chambered for the .22WMR cartridge. Only standard, commercially manufactured, brass-cased ammunition should be used. It accepts a proprietary magazine that holds up to 30 rounds, unless limited by law. Where limited by law, magazine capacity may be reduced, and may be noted on the magazine. AMMUNITION NOTE: The PMR-30 pistol is designed and chambered for the .22WMR cartridge. The type of ammunition is also marked on the barrel of the pistol. Do not use any other ammunition. Only use US made, SAAMI spec, commercially manufactured ammunition, clean, dry, and in good condition. Never use non-standard, reloaded or damaged cartridges. Use only brass-cased ammunition. Any other ammunition is considered non-standard and use of it may void the warranty on this firearm. Never use ammunition where the pressure levels exceed industry standards. Kel-Tec firearms are manufactured from high quality materials. They will provide extended service life. However, all warranties, expressed or implied, are voided and Kel-Tec will not be liable for property damage or personal injury and consequential damages, if faulty, non-standard, or reloaded ammunition is used in any Kel-Tec firearm. The PMR-30 pistol functions best with high power ammo, often with bullet weights of 40gr and up. This includes, but is not limited to, the following: -CCI Maxi Mag 40gr -Winchester Super-X 40gr -Remington Premier Magnum 33gr Low power ammo and/or light-weight bullets may cause failure to feed problems due to the lack of energy to cycle the slide all the way back. The following are currently low power, and may not function reliably in the PMR-30 pistol, especially if the grip is not held firmly: -Winchester Dynapoint 45gr -Winchester Supreme 30gr Please take the ammo type into account before sending your pistol in for repair work. All testing at the factory will be done with high-power ammo.

    It is picky!
1st couple mags were winchester super X and armscor. Both 40 gr. Jam-o-matic! Mostly the mag spring seemed like it wasn't pushing the round up and a few issues of it not wanting to strip another round out of the mag. Only one FTF.

CCI Maxi and Federal (I forget the specific version) both ran real good.

I went back and forth on buying this but am glad I did, very fun to shoot and the wife will love it.
Got a speed loader coming for it and will get a few more mags today. Now I need a suppressor for it :(

I still need to send in my sub2k and have them look at the crown on the barrel. At 100 yards like 2 or 3 rounds will group close then one will zoom off by several ft from the others. Super weird. The crown on the end of the barrel is uneven and is probably the problem.

I almost got one a few months ago, was about to trade in my M&P 40 and go with 9mm so it was cheaper to train before I went to the academy, ended up not getting it because safari land doesn't make ALS/SLS holsters with a light bearing option for it.
It's a really comfortable gun however, I want to get a CZ 75 or P01 threaded as a suppressor host.
