Maybe in January, so others aren't tied up with family and the holidays. We'd have plenty of firewood available up there for the cold. Its just about as far as Barnwell so we could drive up Friday night or Saturday morning. Clear some trails early on Saturday and just wheel that evening and on Sunday. Apparently, they don't close the trails, so we could do some night wheeling too.

I have a question for anyone who has used crawl control....does your truck sounds like it’s gonna fall apart when you activate it? I used it in the sand and it sounded like something was broken. Its weird, but I have been reading online that it is “normal”. So I wnated to see what you guys knew about this.

yes its normal. Your truck will sound like that when active. It will also make those sounds when using MTS and you are having wheels slip.

Ok good. I thought I broke something before that when wheeling on the sand. I didnt see a bump and the shocks fully extended a few times and it sounded bad too lol but Im glad to hear it’s normal cause I gotta drive back 17hrs after I’m done here. Lol

It seems to make less noise climbing uphill but in uneven terrain on any angle(up,down or flat) it goes crazy. Its just the brake system working.

So they state sold part of it so you have to pay to ride now on part of it but the western half only goes to the Indian hwy. But you use Clayton Trail to get in and Clayton Trail is mostly 3 and remember reading someone said a little 4 on one part you got to move rocks to position yourself. I’ll do some research and post it back up over the weekend.

Im trying to figure out their trail rating 3-4 to me would mean easy to moderate, but some of the things i read about it would make me think it was a 6-7 idk. I feel like if it were actually a 3-4 my truck should be able to run the trail with a little help possibly in spots. If the trail rating is a 1-10 scale
    What do you think @Suprajim54

Usually trails are rated 1-5. So far ive only only been brave enough to do a 3.5 at Barnwell. We only did 2's on Saturday. Can we make it? Probably... Will our trucks survive unscathed? :notsure: Ive read theres lots of places to get some trail pinstripes...are you prepared for that?

Alright so I called the game warden up there. He said the old trailhead of k trail is a private road ( a driveway basically), we have to use the Clayton Trail to fire tower to not trespass. He said even if you go on Clayton Trail he recommends we don’t go during hunting season as it can get tense and people just park in the middle of the trail. I’ll have to see if my dad still has the map pack on his gps from when we ran it a while back in his jeep. From what I read Clayton Trail can be 4s in some spots but there are bypasses or jeep trails in these spots.

The pin striping happens after you cross over the Indian highway to Mena

Okay.. well... Lets cut out the RC talk, we can start a new thread if needed. Also... this meet is pretty much locked in, i need to change the location to the park @Crash721 and @Zac of all trades mentioned but for the next meet, make sure and tag OP or VOTE on the polls. The polls will dictate what we do, if there are wheeling trips or mod days, we will schedule our monthly meetup around those unless the event IS the meetup.

I've been at work and seem to have missed this... Is this a park, or in the real world?

This thread has had a lot of RC talk but it will never be an RC thread!

Naw, just bring your toy to the meet if you want something else to do.

If @Tundra2Play is there he will be screaming "Lets do some trails!", so playing with toys will have to be on your own time. I know that at the place i suggested to meet up has some good spots for paying near the water, but far enough not to get anything wet...

Yes! We will need to drive there and walk and mark out a trail first though. I think that a couple days to scope out a trail before we start making it would be a good idea.
Your voices have been heard my freinds and I have it back so i am here to #make this thread great again!
    :oldglory:

Fishing trail #2! I will update the 1st post with the meetup details.

That could be a nice trip, i mean with the cold weather rolling in and camping put on a hault, that maybe nice to get out... I will mark it on my calendar.

Well i suggest you post up some progress pics of your truck to get us back on track! What is the latest update on that bad boy? When are we going to see it back on the trails????
