    Hi there everyrone, just picked up a 217 sport 5 sp Access cab. I know this is a newbie question, but can someone point me in the right direction for a performance chip? Is it a bad idea?

    Same as the originator of this thread, My first truck and I decided to get a taco. I choose a super white 16 TRD OR DCSB.. I think thats how you abbreviate it... looking at modding my truck already as well. I decided to keep my previous car as a weekend car. (2012 Audi S4) This is a complete opposite vehicle but I love it so far

    I can’t answer the question about your ‘chip,’ but if it what I think it is - a drop in ECU? - then I don’t think you’ll have much luck.

    Thanks for the replies, the Tacoma is an upgrade for my wife's RAV4. We ordered a Tacoma with all the bells and whistles including the performance exhaust which sounds great. I just think the Tacoma could have a little better low-end torque so I was curious about ECU mods. I drive a 15 Audi S4 and there are a ton of performance ECU chip mods out there for my car.
