I'm much more comfortable machining and wrenching. Unless it's a house, wiring scares the hell out of me. I think I'll think I'll start off with something less intimidating like Subaru tweeters. Had to learn how to crawl before I learned how to walk. Plug and play and not a lot of plastic that I can break!

Fair enough. Wiring diagrams can be a very helpful tool. But understanding the principals of electricity and application specific operation is a must. Once you get that dialed, it's easy.

Two thumbs up on the wiring diagrams. When I had my 2011 I purchased a Toyota Tacoma Service Repair Manual, "Wiring/Electrical" DVD. It covered model years 2005 - 2011. Never had an occasion to use it, still unopened and in the case. Might be a good idea if I found one for the 2016 - 2017 model years in case I want to tackle future wiring jobs.

It's a Prinsu Designs rack. Owned by CBI Offroad now.

Is that a squadron pro for your chase light? Is that a little too bright? I have a bracket on the driver side of my RTT rack that is begging for a chase light.

I’m getting a brand new windshield put in. Got a chip from a rock that came from a Semi on the way to work Monday. Called a windshield repair place right away, and they were going to get me in that afternoon. When I went to my truck after work, a 16” crack had already developed. So a new windshield it is.

Only has 3k miles on it, and I really didn’t have to get it fixed now, but I’m not looking at that damn crack every day on a brand new truck. I got 3 quotes, and they were all about the same, around $425 installed. It was actually more expensive for the windshield without the go-pro Mount, I guess there’s fewer of them around?

That’s what I’m doing to my truck today.

Ouch! Did you try Safelite? I used them before and was pleased with the service.
