So the only reason I can think of that they go out of stock is because of the security dongle being not available? It's just software. :notsure:

Yes, primarily the dongle I'd assume but he also is ordering the good Tactrix devices that have the fast transfer rate which I assume minimizes risk to ECU bricking but I know it's a pain for him to "protect" is intellectual property with something like this which is why the dongles have to be ordered then he has to manually pre-register them now which is also a time consuming thing that requires some back and forth with suppliers for each one. I'm sure in the way future this will become an easier process via a handheld or something but for now it's the only way we can do this and it takes time - but worth it no doubt!

So we know how to get on the list? I finally decided to pull the trigger on this tune and want to take advantage of the sale.

My taco has gone back to its old stupid learning mode. The truck now drives like it has no ovtune. I'm not doubting OP but I think this shit will never get fixed. I blame Toyota for making a piece of shit taco.

That sucks. The MT trucks settle down, but they never get as bad as stock. Matt will get it figured out. He is buying one so he will be able to fool with it alot more.

That totally sucks man. I know you shouldn't have to, but can't you just reflash the truck again?

Yes no doubt once he gets is R&D vehicle this will get addressed, but for now a reflash isn’t a big deal. 5 mins tops and your back where you wanna be. Faster than a battery disconnect for 10 mins - lol... which is what I began doing frequently on stock and a fresh stock tune is still 50% of a fresh OVtune.

Someone had suggested that maybe the "Reset DTC" or some such function in the PCMFlash software clears out the learning without a re-flash. Has anyone confirmed this?

I know that's one of his main objectives moving forward is to help eliminate the learning as well as other things. He is purchasing a Tacoma R&D vehicle. I think there's still a long way to go for him as far as developing and refining the tune even further.

I now have 5K on 1.02C (A) and have not had an issue with it reverting back. Do you drive with cruise control a lot?

I'm only at 600 miles on my 1.02c. A (91) and I'm feeling a lot of the bad learning returning.
My shifting is almost back to stock shifting way too early and I'm feeling like the engine tune is changing a bit as well. When I first flashed the two stroke like power band was gone and it just pulled through the rpm range from idle to redline nicely but now the feeling around 3500 to 4000 rpm is going back towards the stock feeling.
Throttle response and down shifting with throttle input still feel good though.
Patiently waiting and hoping this will be fixed as I don't want to re-flash every 300 to 500 mi.
