I really wish I could keep the 2001 but sadly I need to cash to cover my down payment. It is going to a good friend however so I'll get to see it often and makes for another off road buddy. Getting some BFG K02's for her. DO you guys recommend staying factory 265/70/16 or going for 265/75/16. I read they fit fine but am worried about warranty issues and the effect on speedometer and odom.

BTW, do I need an external photo hosting site to post pics?

First comment nailed it. If I could have a first gen as well as my 2016 I'd make it happen in a heartbeat. Never know if you'll get the itch to Gamble. https://gambler500.com/

Hey Congrats, I also went from a 1st gen to a 3rd gen. I still own by 02 and have to say I love, I'm having a hard time letting her go, but my new 3rd gen is awesome. Comfort and power and the abilities of the 3rd gen are way above the 1st gen. I doubt you will regret the choice... I haven't, even though I still have my 1st gen, excellent con with only 160 on the clock.

Do you have a Canadian manual transmission off road? If so how did you get it???
Only being able to get the manual in the sport model here in Canada is the only thing stopping me buying a new truck. I really don’t like the sport trim. But refuse to buy an auto.

You're in Canada? This is from the Toyota.ca website a few minutes ago:

You Canadians can get the OR with a manual, in access cab. We cannot get that combo, only in the dcsb configuration.

Test drive, test drive and test drive. Then ponder your question.
I’ve enjoyed my Taco so far.

You're not even going to notice the change in speedo for that small increase, maybe +1 mph.

Warranty is a non issue for changing that tire size.

Agh I misread what you had. I meant double cab.
When you said unicorn I thought you’d found a way to get the double cab off road in manual.

    Not for me. Lol.
An access cab is as much use as a chocolate tea pot for my needs.

If you've got a cool 50K CAD you can get a Pro manual DCSB :D

And it’s got even more crap I don’t want. That’s why I don’t like the sport.
I don’t want sensors and leather and crap. It’s a truck not a limo.

[IMG][IMG]Here is a quick picture I took last night. K02's and TRD PRO grill will be on next week! I'm obsessed with the color.

The new Tacomas get suck ass ratings for reliability. I would get a used 2nd Gen, not a new 3rd Gen.

Toyota is experiencing serious rear differential issues with the new model that still has no fix.

    Like, so many.
The safety features in the 3rd Gen are outstanding. That alone would be worth it to me.
