I have a rattle on the passenger side back seat ever since I put those spacers in and reinstalled the plastic on the back of my seats. It's driving me nuts!

I’m getting a rattle at specific tones. Generally drums. Lower end bass comes through clean. If I push the box against the back of the cab the rattling disappears. I put some foam and dynamat back there but I can still hear. I don’t know how to put that pressure back their permanently. When the rattle isn’t there it sounds clean. I can’t tell if its the motor, the wire to the motor. Wood. Thoughts?

Sounds to me like your box may be moving around. I had to secure mine down with a bracket to keep them from sliding forward into the seats.

I ripped the seats out and I can hear the rattle when the box is away from the back but when I’m outside the truck it sounds like the rear is rattling. I put dynamat on the walls. I’m at a loss I almost want to stuff socks everywhere. Where is this mystery sound coming from and why only during certain tones. What kind of demonic wizardry would cause me such torment.

Could be those rear cab vents. I heard ratlling with mine in the back. Traced it down to those moving around. I said screw it and ignore or turn the sub down with the knob

I actually dynamated the entire rear and used some on the plastic to add weight. I also added it around the vents. My vents no longer move. However the bass rattles the seat itself. Something inside the seat is rattling or the covers on my subs are slapping against the metal. The plastic is removed from the back. I have a towel over the metal now and if I click the seat back it rattles badly. So this afternoon I’m gonna buy spacers and new bolts to give some clearance from the subs. I don’t want to take the metal grills off. Interesting that certain frequencies rattle my doors with the gain up. So I’m gonna have to battle those later. Otherwise I’ve tuned the crap Out of the lc2i and it sounds night and day different. In hindsight I don’t think two tw3 subs is necessary as you can’t play them as loud as they get without shaking the truck to pieces. So I wish could go back in time and have them make me a box for one instead. I recommend anyone adding two subs to soundproof everything, and I mean everything back there. I’ve wasted so much time troubleshooting rattles and pretty much have used every curse word imaginable while tearing the back of my truck apart. Not to mention my wife’s displeasure with the cost.

Anyone with subs have rattling issues in the passenger front door? Or doors in general?

I took off the panel and shut the door and still heard it. Mids mostly, drums and odd frequencies. Where should I add dynamat?

I bought the Kicker 6x9 and 6.5 for the rears. So when I install I’ll add the deadener. I already have the kicker tweeters installed which honestly is crazy how much better the sound quality is now.
I am curious to see the audible difference. I wonder if the door speakers themselves are making the noise.

    Rattling= enemy.

I didn't go crazy with my sound deadner. I just put it on the door itself before I installed the speaker and some right behind the speaker on the inside skin of the door.

I removed everything and added to the entire interior door skin. Plus to the inside of the exterior skin. Then installed speaker mounts with nuts and bolts.

The pic I posted is the front door. I went with 6.75s instead of 6x9s.

So did that eliminate the door rattle?
Do you think my rattle is the doors or the speakers themselves making the plastic slappy sound?

I don't know. I didn't have a rattle to begin with and I installed the sound deadning at the same time as the new speakers.

I’m starting to think it’s the stock spearkers. I get the speakers Wednesday and will install when I get off work. I’ll cross my fingers and hope that’s it. When you hear this sound and can’t find it, it’s enough to turn a person mad. I’ve had my wife and about 4 other people listen but we couldn’t isolate the exact location, just the general area. If I open the front passenger door you can’t hear from inside.

the stock speakers suck so bad I would expect it to sound better for sure. As for fixing a rattle, I am skeptical. Are you going to sound deaden the door when you install the new speakers?

When I take all the door panels apart I will be adding dynamat and foam weather stripping throughout.

Installed the kickers in the front and dynamat. Night and day difference in overall sound. I have the Suzuki kicker plug and play tweeters in already so fronts now done. 100% better range in sound.6EB8A63C-A03D-4EDF-8938-15BEB8FCCC26.jpg
I know others have posted but you don’t really know until you hold factory and aftermarket together.
