How to tell 7.5" from 8" rear axle

I have a 1999 2wd 4 cyl Toyota Tacoma i am trying to figure out how to identify the 7.5" rear axle because i don't know what mine has.

The reason why is i also have a jeep and i want to swap the D35 out for a 8" but i want to use 30 spline shafts. I heard that Toyota used 7.5" rear axle with 27 spline shafts and they are more common than the 8" with 5 lug shafts. And before i get started going to the junk yard and buying a 4wd 8" i want to be sure i can find some 5 lug 30 spline shafts that will work with it. And if i can tell the 7.5" apart from the 8" it would make things a lot easier.

Ok i have a 7.5" with 3.58 gears and 2 pinion open diff.

What trucks do i look for to find the 8" diff with 30 spline 5 lug axle shafts? Are these shafts rare or am i just looking in the wrong places?

 

I think the 8" rear end only came on the srunners or mini trucks with the 5vz motor.

I am also looking for one.
