TRD Pro Grille for $140?

Oct 25. Taking a while to get here.

 

I got one of these about 2 weeks ago (when they were $200 - sucks for me!!) which to me was 100% worth it - compared to $380+ for the OEM part. It looks incredible, build quality is just that of OEM in terms of how solid it feels.

The downside is that it only mounts via plastic clips, like your current grille but only 4 screws in addition to that, and if you have ever taken your grille off you know there are a lot more screws. - I guess this is because no chrome frame.

Its not terribly concerning but something to consider at least. Once it was mounted it feels super solid.

They shipped very quick even coming from China (ebay user motorfansclub) and was packaged extremely well. I will post pics in a couple of hours.

 

That's the same way that the OEM one mounts too since it doesn't have the chrome ring anymore.

 

I guess if it ever fades......

 

I ordered one of these yesterday morning and got a shipping confirmation last night.

 

Might depend on location. I figure west coasters will be quickest and best coasters will be longer.

The whole front nose section of the truck should have that label. After seeing several here warp, I'd be surprised if the eBay grill was any worse than the factory plastic.

 

Interested to hear more feedback as these come in. On my SSM the Chrome isn't unbearable and I'd concluded I had better things to do with $400 than buy really anything purely cosmetic that's not functional. But for this money could be hard to pass up... The only thing I do like about the chrome grill is that it's low maintenance. All my black trim on my OR like the flares, tailgate, etc., i'm pretty obsessive about 303ing that sh*t every week. This would become another bit of black plastic I'm obsessive about... but would look nice!

 

lol yeah same boat here mostly. I couldn't bring myself to pay $400+ for a hunk of plastic. But this is more reasonable.

 

Same. Hell to the no I was paying 385 for a piece of plastic.

Tracking numbers never worked and they just randomly showed up. Much sooner that expected though
