I painted my calipers and did some touch ups yesterday.
I know some of you aren't big fans of this, but I have my reasons.
My previous truck, a Dodge Ram, had the front end parts rust terribly from the road salt they use here. The calipers were so bad that they were flaking apart and the bleeder screws were completely disintegrated.
While this truck is still relatively new, I decided to paint them. I went with red as my truck came with graphics that have a red stripe down the side and it's a nice match.
While I was at it, I touched up my LCAs and the section of frame where I high centered once. Both areas had spots of rust.
I was thinking that I would paint the rear drums red to match, but I now think that would be too much. I will paint them, but just with flat black.

I cleaned the calipers with a wire wheel on a die grinder and used Duplicolor's caliper paint.

Good clean job, but not for me. I drive a Tacoma...not an M5 or an AMG benz.

I love the red. Did you remove them at all? I was looking at some vht (?) paint and in the directions it said to remove the calipers and bake them at 200 deg. F. I'd prefer if I never had to remove them.

All and all, I love it!
