My wife used to do martial arts long ago...kempo karate I think. It's more that in her line of work a client may be a danger to themselves, others, and surrounding areas.

 

10th grade some huge football player tried giving me shit. I was fat but he had 100 on me and was 2 yrs older. Told him i ain't moving and if he feels lucky come get some. He laughed and said "I'll kill you, dumbass. I'm twice your size". My reply was "good, you'll make more noise when I drop you".

He didn't feel lucky.

That reminded me of a classic story. When I 1st started working out at my present day gym I walked in and saw some 40 yr old man in old gym shorts, a wrinkled t shirt, dress socks, and penny loafers. He wasn't too big and had 405lb on the squat rack. I thought I was going to see this guy doing 1/4 squats or fall down.. he started repping it out like it was 135lb... found out that night he held and still might hold the cali record for 182lb squatting 573lb.. that was 20 yrs ago and the living legend still hitting it hard! Long story short, he was on his lunch break and just had those loafers...

 

Common thread is I've always been a thrill seeker..and sometimes not too smart with my decisions, especially in my drinking days.

New PR on Lé Bench is 255 for 2 with maybe 1 or 2 left in the tank. Last week it was 250.

 

I go to the gym just to watch people be dumb. Just watched a dude in flip flops do about, 60? Reps on an leg press machine (no weights) vigorously fast, that put him in a motion where he rose up the back rest about a foot each time.

Dude was about to take fucking flight out of the reclined position of the leg press machine.

 

Guys I swear I’m not a judgmental douche but I just can’t help it! New bro rolls in, and puts on climbing shoes to use the rock climbing tread wall...totally normal, cool!

Then proceeded to do a bunch of warm up calestethics in the climbing shoes, does about 5 min on the tread wall, and is now doing crunches, planks, weird yoga moves...in fucking climbing shoes!

I’m not sure how many of you climb...but let me tell you the only time I wear my climbing shoes...when I’m going up a vertical wall. Other than that, those stiletto simulators for men come right off.

I’m just so confused

 

I've always laughed at how uncomfortable climbing shoes look on men.

There was a good looking girl in the gym for the first time since I have moved here. I forgot what testerone feels like .
