Lol, there's plenty of crawling at Harlan. I've been lucky, I have only been there once while it was wet. The other 5 times it was bone dry, which is rare!!

Harlan is super rocky and if it does rain, you’re on a mountain so it drains well!

I use 12:1 there quite a bit, there are some long rock sections

Idk. My buggy not really built for trail riding.

I'd pick "your turn" and "tailgate" at harlan

    OR "Rattle Rock" at windrock

You guys are taking this stuff too seriously o_O At the end of the day nobody cares about how people spend their time and resources building their rigs.

Besides....you have complained a few times yourself about your leaky duals and even mentioned you wish you went the Atlas route:rolleyes:.

Provided that the Army does not throw last minute training events as usual, I would be interested in some of the places people are mentioning to go wheel.

The duals don't actually leak... Its the prerunner adapter seal failing (bad Toyota design) and leaking automatic transmission fluid into the dual transfer cases till they are full then blowing atf/gear oil out the tcase breather. No big deal as I top off the transmission every few hundred miles and change the tcase oil once a year. Only reason I want an atlas is because its a sealed unit and would elimante all the problems but I don't have 3k to drop on one or the want to redo my tcase crossmember and skid plate. Lets meet up one day and actually wheel together. Im going to sand hollow in march for Winter on the Rocks. Can send you the list of trails if your interested.

Harlans cheap, it's like 30bucks for a month pass or something like that. AOP is cool, but looks like a brutal place on the hard trails and if it rains, and it's kinda small. Harlan is huge and if you feel like just trail riding for the day and taking it easy, you can easily do a day just cruising around.

Never been to windrock, I want to check it out. It sounds like they have a gestapo style police force in the campground.

Windrock is huge. I spent $250ish on the weekend there to just camp and wheel. I’m down with whatever tho but a challenge is what makes it fun.

$250? Jesus. Harlan is $50 for an annual pass and $15 per night to camp and people were bitching about it.

It's a great variety of trail riding to technical gardens to rock bouncer lines. It's the only place I've ever been that has an entire category of trail that my truck is useless on.

This! There are even trails that just MAY give the unstopable Tacoma on tons, links, 40s and coilovers some serious trouble :luvya:

I attempted little jager and it laughed back at my truck, the scope of that place is just insane. Totally worth the drive from up north.

Dang. That looks like a lot of fun.. It's weird cause out here on all the red rock the truck would have just climbed but with the smooth rocks and water I bet it makes it a lot harder.

You tried it? Sweet! I watched a mini truck crawl that, you need to stay to the far right and basically lean the truck on the rock face and crawl up it. At least that's what he did.

Just watched some recent vids, it changed since I looked at it last. Ugly for sure!

Those rocks are pretty huge and undercut at the bottom.
Ignore the rock bouncer tard who has more money than driving skills:

Sandstone and limerock is a bitch out here. Especially when it's wet!

I thought about that and probably should have tried it, it's a gnarly little trail! It has an awe-factor

    Springtime comes soon
