Just changed the wipers on my 2016 Tacoma for the first time last night. Went with Bosch Icon, they’re awesome by the way. The stealership wanted an outrageous amount for oem wipers, anyone know what brand the dealership uses or what comes on our truck from factory?

Toyota brand. Toyota spec but built by 3rd party vendors. I would say that Toyota uses several wiper manufacturers, depending on bids. Why not just get the inserts instead of the whole arm?

Last I heard it was Michelin making the rubber for the blades but that could have changed since I had heard or the information I had gotten could've been wrong from the get-go. Why are you so wigged out by the price? The Bosch Icons are literally $4 cheaper, that's not the astronomical amount you make it out to be...

I got the Bosch Icons from Walmart for $9 each. Check your local Walmart they may have some in stock. I think Walmart is moving all their inventory for some other premium wiper.

Oh wow, now THAT is a good deal. I concede that is in fact a stellar deal suh.

At a cost of $9ea, I wouldn't even consider inserts. That's completely worth the non-hassle of taking your blades apart.

You can still get inserts but for the price of those Walmart Bosch Icons they are more than worth the hassle free experience of the inserts, it also doesn't hurt that the inserts are only a couple bucks cheaper.

Still on my originals. 2 years old this month. Pretty sure these Toyota blades are the best I've ever had.

Yep. OEM Toyota wiper blades, refills and oil filters are top notch. It's tough to beat these items with anything aftermarket. Believe me I've tried.

I have a Corolla with the factory Wiper blades which are 4 years old and still wipe great. The Corolla is always in a garage at home and at work, but I am impressed that I have not had to change them yet. Probably go with Toyota brand wipers on my Tacoma when I need them.

Go to the dealer and get the inserts.... $10.00 here in Canada.... Toyota wipers are the best I've used.....!!

Stick with their oil filters also...

Disagree..!! OEM is better....!! Get the inserts..!! If you DO change them....keep yer old blades, as you might want to go back to OEM after those aftermarket ones go for shit..!! Good luck..!

I've been using the Anco Transform. T-22-UB and T-20-UB. These are pretty damn close to the OEM wipers without looking cheap and are a fraction of what the Dealership wants. Amazon has them in many sizes. I use them on my Lexus, Honda, Jeep, and Mazda. I remove the clip that's pre-installed and use the clip that's in the wrapper. The wiper looks and installs just like the OEM blade. The blade only works with the J Hook mount. I'm SOL with the Benz.

I'm just glad the Taco doesn't use a proprietary blade connector like the 2nd gen Avalons or 2/2.5 Tundra/Sequoia.

    Toyota blades only for me.

My '04 is outside in the Fl sun all the time. Blades last ~2 years, which is 18 months longer than budget blades and a 12 months longer than any premium brand blade.

I find I can buy the Toyota bits for right around the same price as a premium brand at a parts house sale. So considering they last twice as long, that means they are half the price.

Actually I've found this result true on Nissan, Honda, Mazda and Toyota.

Bought mine in October 2015; never garaged...still has the original wiperblades.
    OEM is worth it.
