A tercel and "looking half-decent" are pretty much mutually exclusive. No matter what you do to it, it's still only ever going to be a Tercel.

That's a pity. The Taco has to be almost paid off by now. I was going to suggest selling it and the Tercel and throwing half the money into the HiLux and the other half down on a new Hachi-Roku (aka: BRZ/FRS). Now that's a cool car for a 4-banger and worthy of a little customization.

 

what? i own all 3 of my vehicles lol, the tacoma has been paid off for almost a year and i owe my buddy $400 for the tercel still, i paid $1500 for it lol. once thats paid, all 3 are paid for and i have the titles to all 3 lol

 

$1500 for the Tercel? In that condition? Um...okay. I'mma stop here before my incredulity gets the better of me. Good luck with it, just know that modifying a car made for people that couldn't care less about cars outside of getting them from point A to point B economically will get you mocked for being a Ricer. There's an Echo the runs up and down my street that's lifted (I think) and has 20" polished wheels on it. It's shiny, clean, well-maintained... and it looks completely ridiculous.

I dunno what's worse a polished turd, or a diamond that's been shit on. I saw a GS430 on I95 that had been what looked like spray painted the most heinous nuclear purple with plenty of runs and a matte glitter top coat (the glitter was very uneaven, looked like splattered pixie shit here and there then just a couple of sparkles on most parts) the windows and headlights and tail lights looked like they had also been spray painted black for "tint", lifted on 24" or something chrome spinners, the entire autozone advance auto and walmart plastic chrome stick on section and of course bald "rubberband" ultra low profile tires to complete the look.

alright well apparently you two dont understand a thing called subtly. my plan was for either the same size wheel or a 15" wheel with the same width tire if not wider, new shocks and coils, then im going to repaint the car.

i searched for weeks for a decent looking gas saver and had found this one at a dealership, only paid $900 for the car since it had issues. i rebuilt the engine, replaced the cooling system, cv axles, hub and bearings, and head unit and speakers.

im not too appreciative with you calling me brainless buying this fucking car. i knew damn well what the issues were and i did not fucking care. i was more than willing to fix the issues to get this car in a better state. if you cant appreciate the fact that all i want is a better set of wheels and tires and fix the shocks since they are half blown....then i dont know wtf to say.

if you really have that much of an issue with something I am doing...then so be it, ill just hop off TW again and do my thing, seems like no one has cared anyways that i was trying to be on here more. have fun at citrus.
