Spark plugs look good. How malleable are the seals around spark plug tubes?

The seals were really bad cracked and hardened. I’ll finish up putting the new ones in today do a test drive and everyone know if this resolves the issues:fingerscrossed:

Both have variety but anything available in the aftermarket tends to be larger than I need. At 11.9:1 the compression ratio is dumb high, so extra fuelling, water/meth, and a properly sized turbo (efficient at peak power) are my best chances to make it live. I can't drop compression on this as no pistons are available short of custom ones so I'm limiting myself to the 7psi/250hp level for longevity. The smallest Garrett units might work, but I'm looking for other options before I settle on any particular turbo.

This is a method, if thicker headgaskets are available. A little math would give you the clues to how far you could drop the compression.

Just lower the tension on the arm and go up from there. Probably have to pull the turbo to adjust it unless you make the wastegate face out.

could you run and external wastegate as like a safety net, that either had a just higher psi or the same, or I guess even lower and forego the internal wg all together?

This is an option and kinda where I plan to go if an aftermarket option isn't feasible.

I hadn't considered running an external if there's an internal one available. I prefer an oem internal for reliability and packaging, but an external safety net is a good idea.

That's exactly what I was thinking, a head spacer will drop the compression

Nice! That looks pretty sweet. That a nice clean concept having both gauges combined into one
