What is there to worry about? They're used for winter / hazardous conditions so looks shouldnt matter, performance matters.Paint, powder coat or leave them be as long as they work.

Do you buy hammers and saws based on looks too?

Nothing wrong with caring about the good wheels for good weather but for winter wheels that are going to see crap weather, why worry if they look like crap to begin with??

Not different at all, he bought them to spare the nice tires and wheels during the winter, he bought them to be used as tools

I've never seen or know anyone with wheel skins, with them being plastic my only concern is they would become brittle in the cold. We get a couple weeks of -40 up here and I'd be worried they'd just split & crack when they reached temperatures like that.

Obviously we're not going to come to an agreement here lol. I know where OP is coming from. Just because it's winter doesn't mean i want my daily driver to look like shit. I want it looking good regardless of the weather.

I understand they're just winter tires, I'm just trying to figure out what's a cheaper or interesting way to make them more aesthetically pleasing then how they are now. Functionality & appearance don't need to be separate, it's why most people bought a Tacoma in the first place, a truck that can go most places but looks damn good at the same time.

    I agree

I already said this but... they remind me of my old 92 pickup. I will keep mine bone stock when I get it.

I'm not a big fan of black wheels personally. I can see that I'm in the minority here though.

Sure. No special lugnuts required, the nubs on the center caps fit into the indentations around the hub. I was pleasantly surprised to find these fit, looks like they'd fit on the OP's wheels as well.

Nope, I don't really care for em either, unless they're Soft 8s or something in that style, and they need raised whites to provide some contrast. Like you I realize I'm probably in the minority as well, ha.
