they look very nice. did you have to do any trimming at all? i'm looking for 100% plug and play and your choice looks very nice. the color matches the DRL's nicely, which matches the @CaliRaisedLed lightbar too. i'd like them all to match

 

The license plate bulbs require no tools. However it’s hard to get your hand up under the bumper and get a good grip on the bulb socket. Turn it a quarter turn and pull.

 

Nope, installation was a breeze. 5 min for each side fogs+low beams. Just reach your hand town to the light and unplug it (you gotta find the clip and squeeze it and pull) then turn the headlight so it unlocks from the housing and that's it. The new ones are direct plug and play, just do everything in reverse to get them back in! Some people say to remove the bottom bumper to access the fogs but I just reached my hand down and undid them without a problem.

 

I have the VLED Micros installed, been running them for awhile now and am happy with them, they are has bright has the HIDs I had installed and I got rid of a ton of wires that go with the HIDs, there is some fan noise that you can hear if the truck motor is not running, it is not annoying though.

They are very easy to install.

What are the lights you're looking at for the high beams?

 

Looking for a set of quality budget friendly LED fog lights,any recommendations? Links would be helpful

Just ordered the GTR Ultra headlights for the low beams. Will keep the OPT7 for the fogs and put the OPT7 that are now in the low beams in the high beams. They did a comparison with the VLEDs and the GTR has much better light pattern and more lux. You can see the tests on YouTube. The OPT7s performance was dismal, but they do well in my fogs. I drive to work before dawn wvwry morning, and this morning I could not see a deer 150ft ahead. Luckily he was moving and I missed him.

I will update when I get the GTRs in.

 

Anyone have good LED headlight and Highbeam recommendations? I bought some H11s on Amazon for both and my headlights really don't seem that bright. Supposedly 8000lm.

I just finished my install on some morimoto 2stroke LED headlights about an hour ago. after a quick drive around the neighborhood I noticed they are definitely brighter than the factory bulbs. Advertised from the manufacturer at 5000lm per bulb, so 10000lm combined. I will put the link to the bulbs at the end of this. The install wasn't too labor intensive, although since the housing is a bit big I had to remove the grill, and partially remove the front bumper in order to remove the headlight. The task took me an hour or so from start to finish. Including time to watch youtube videos on how to remove everything step by step. I would recommend them since they have a good quality name behind them. I hope this helps bud!

I just installed VLEDS lowbeams, fogs, reverse, and license plate lights a few nights ago. Definitely not the cheapest but I am pleased with my purchase. Cab lights and high beams will be next

 

Go to YouTube and look for headlightrevolution.com videos where they test different brands of LEDs. Lux, not so much lumens, and lighting patterns are more important. It's true that they sell GTRs, but they show you why they chose to distribute those lights and not others. Very revealing. I was going to buy the new OPT7s, which are the upgrade of what I currently have, and they flunked miserably. The VLED micros didn't do so well either. So I went with the GTRs for the lows. The OPT7s are good in the fogs, and I will try them in the highs. I should be getting the GTRs by early next week and will report back when I install them. They are not cheap, but the alternative is HIDs and those are more costly and have issues of reliability.

 

Where did u see Headlight Revolution review the VLED Micro?

 

Reliability issues? Hmm, not in the last 10 years I've been running them...

I've only had one experience with headlight revolution. I ordered a set of their front turn signals/DRL's. They were $66 for the set including the resistors. I got them in to discover they weren't as bright as the factory filament bulbs. Also, the taps that are included with the resistors are terrible. I got on their website and left a two star review due to the issues, and low and behold, the review wasn't ever published. Major red flag for me. They have basically no bad reviews on their products and it's because they filter them out. I'm now running the front turn signal bulbs the OP recommended, and they are much brighter than stock, easily twice that of the gtr bulbs from headlight revolution.

I recently put in the HeadlightRevolution.com Supernova V3's for Low and High beams, '17 OffRoad. Super easy install, awesome brightness and especially like the very nice beam pattern. I think they're 6000k, which I like - honest daylight without getting blue. Recommend.

 

R2D2, I was impressed with Headlight Revolution's you tube videos too. I was a little concerned about the low center dark area w/the LEDs bulbs. Please report back and let us know what you think. Thanks!

The VLEDs they test may not be the latest micros, but they are thin like the micros, and that is, according to VLED, what makes their bulbs unique since they focus light better the thinner they are. But you can see that's not the case in this test.

 

I experience that with my low beam OPT7s now. That's why I ordered the GTRs. i'm hoping they do not have this effect.

 

Your right they do perform pretty awful in that test. I have 0 experience with those VLEDS but the New Micros preforme outstanding. Best ones I have tried so far. Best thing is that offer a 30 Day guarantee if your not happy with product or color they will swap for different color or issue a refund.

 

The new micro seemed promising. I’m still debating what route to take.
