Austin Area TW Chapter (all gens welcome, even T4Rs; heck, just make it a Toyota and we're good)

Who all is camping at HF after thanksgiving? I'm planning on heading out there Thursday night or Friday morning. I know there's a few threads on it already but just wanted a quick count.

 

I work Friday. No plans to do HF on my end. But if we did, probably wouldn't camp there, would camp at super secret location.

For cost or aesthetic reasons?

I don't know how I feel about leaving camp elsewhere when wheeling. I don't have a RTT like everyone else.

 

Both. And I wouldn't leave anything there. Would roll in after wheeling.

 

I should be at HF that weekend with @CedarPark and some of my crew.

 

As the "old guy" in question (I mean, old? Fuck. I'm 48, and that's not old) I have "offered up corrections to the whipper snapper's statement."

I've seen the finished work from the AutoNation body shop. Looks new. Can't tell at all.

Stuff like this is partially why I stopped going to C&C with my VW R32. I got there super early one time and parked next to a few guys I know with 911's, who saved me a spot. Later that morning somebody asked if "the VW" could move to make room for a "better car". Shit you not that is what they said not realizing I was the owner standing right there. My buddies spoke up for me before I said anything but it really rubbed me the wrong way. Found out that somebody was an organizer of the event at the time. Just ruined my experience in general and have not been back since. However, I am very much so looking forward to the December T&T to meet up with you guys.

Not sure I want to spend the $$$ for HF when I've run almost every trail there. Gotta save pennies for Yosemite in January

Yup! Gf's dad has a house down there near marathon. It surprisingly had no damage from the hurricane other than the car and golf cart that were parked underneath it.

I love me a MKIV R32! I had a 04 GLI VR6 before I bought the Taco and it was so much fun to drive...I can only imagine what the R32 is like

 

What are you looking to get for them?

 

Not sure yet. Haven't looked to see what they go for used. Think I paid around 800 shipped when new.

Bolt on. I don't think I'd be removing welded sliders haha.
