Be better than the standard head unit like the one I have. Where did u buy that head unit from

 

Forum member. But it included the bezel and XM module so it was a pretty good deal. My factory radio looks like it does a lot but it doesn’t.

Hopefully these gaudy flash pictures show what I'm talking about. Here is a shot that shows the area and how little room I have before the bottom of the bed. I need to work on the backside of that bracket the brake line goes into.

And this one is a side view that shows the end of the brake line and where it meets the hard line. The soft line is a 17mm and it doesn't spin separate from the line. The 10mm of the hard line is what turns. So I need to hold the 17mm while I back off the 10mm. There should also be a clip attached to the soft line that holds it against the bracket to prevent it from falling through it.

 

Damn sonny! What thickness material will your Hobart cut?

 

I cut 1/4" with it yesterday, a bit slow but it beats the hell out of grinding

 

Haven't done mine myself but yes a stubby line wrench on the 10mm (or crows foot) ideally while you hold the 17mm according to a video I just watched.

I'm assuming you watched the same since you mentioned the same solutions haha

 

Are you replacing the rubber line?

 

Not to answer for him but yes he is. He's installing the extended brake line which replaces he rubber line.

 

Is there enough room to remove the clip and pull the line through the bracket,so both the rubber line line and the nut for the steel line are accessible?
Then can get a 10mm wrench and a 17mm wrench on to the lines
