Yeah I checked that video out. Though he doesn't actually show the removal process so I had infer a little. I am able to actually get the current line wrenches I have on it but the 10MM can't seem to move enough to actually turn the fitting. And they barely fit in there together,

Hmm maybe. It's hard to even see how the clip is on, but if I can get a grasp for how it's on, I might be able to get it off. If I can even get a screwdriver or something else in there. Very little room to work with. I was considering loosening the 2 bolts that hold the bracket in place and seeing if maybe that would allow me to turn the bracket and gain access from a better angle. A combo of the two approaches maybe?



Hell, I even considered doing what this bloke did and just adding the new line to the old one and moving the slack out of the way. I'll give the right method another try, but is there a good reason not to do it this way, assuming the hoses' threads match?

When I can possibly come close to your high level of intelligence, I’ll give this go cart kart thing a try.

 

On my 2nd Gen it was hard to break those free even with the bed off. I couldn't imagine how awful it would have been otherwise. How hard is it to take a 1st Gen bed off? I've taken mine off so many times now with an engine hoist I probably have it down to 15-20 minutes.

 

I gotta learn the tips and tricks on how to pull the bed off.

I have frame plates sitting in my shed that I need to weld on. And maybe weld on a beefier rear crossmember. I’m guessing it’s gonna be a LOT easier with the bed off.

 

Ive taken my bed off like 5 times now, comes off in 10 minutes, 6 bolts, several wire clips, tail lights, lift out. Takes a few people to lift though lol

It's not a complex process, but I have already taken my bed off a handful of times since owning it and it's such a PITA. Needs 2 people minimum to lift it off (3 to get it on, really) and getting around that fill neck . Rock sliders have made it worse too, since they get in the way of tilting the bed around the neck. Oh and my wrap around bumper has it come off since it hugs the fender flares. I just had it off last month. I'll do it that way if I have to, but I'm gonna try to avoid it.
