I loved my 4 banger SR-5 4x4 Access Cab, owned it since new, but I had a oppertunity to get a 09 Double Cab TRD "off road" with only 10500miles. I am glad i upgraded. The double cab is so well designed, so much more room, tons of clever storage under and behind the seats, easy access for passengers, and the flat folding surface is so handy! The V6 power and locking rear diff is cool too!

I did the same thing, but I bought a brand new TRD Sport double cab instead. Now that I have the double cab, I don't know how I ever lived without it.

How much extra did you pay if you don't mind me asking? And how modded was your 4 banger? I've been tempted to do this, but I don't know if the stealership would like what I've done with my truck so far.

I bought my 2008 Access cab 4x4 for 23,000 brand new and put NO money down. I paid $404 a month on a 72mo loan.

I owned it for almost 2 years, and I still owed 18,100 on it. They gave me 18,900 for it (and it sold in like 2 weeks).

Then they put me in the 2010 double cab. I pay $445. Once again, I put no money down. As you can see, I really didn't loose much on the 2008!!! Best move EVER!

My 4 cylinder was pretty stock, I added a trailer hitch and changed the tires. But I sold it well and got into this 09 CD Off Road for a good deal. Payments are the same!
These off road double cabs are super rare in Canada, since they never sold them here (we only get the TRD sports) and this one is loaded with JBL audio with Sub woofer, XM radio activated, A-Trac, hands free blue tooth phone, I love the truck!

    back to bone stock.
if my truck gets totalled or stolen, i may consider a DC-SB. right now, the longer bed is great for all my house work.

if i ever kill an elk. the longer bed would be absolutely necessary. heheh.

    Nice new truck, congrat's.

How did you pull this off when the SR5 Access cab 4cyl 4x4 retails for $31526 according to toyota.ca?

My girlfriends uncle is the commercial sales/leasing manager at the local toyota dealer and he couldnt even go as low as what you paid on a demo non-SR5 4x4 4cyl Access cab..

    Did you trade something in?

    Holy crap! $404 x 72 = $29,088......that's a lot of interest!

Hope you enjoy the new truck.
