I'm so behind. No stand or camera or feeder/established corn pile even. Haven't stepped foot in the woods with intention to hunt at all this season.
Modern Gun started on Saturday until the 26th. Gonna grab the $40 feeder at Walmart and some corn this weekend. Put it and the camera out then come back next weekend and maybe a weekday or two.

Closing on my house and moving really cut into my usual fall festivities. We have a big buck competition going at work this year, bow only, $20/person and the pot is about $300. I've shot my long bow twice since Jan. 1 2017

If they are around it early, they think it's normal. There is plenty of products out to keep them warm. It's really about not letting them get bored, or forcing them to be there.

I cut straight down in like 4" or so segments, then butterfly across the steak. Im not sure its right either but that seems to end up with a better grained cut for the final product to me. (i was almost, almost a doctor and i feel like my directional terminology should be better, but its not haha)

Well word on the street was it was gonna be right at freezing this mornin and a storm was moving in this afternoon; gonna say the storm will get here early, cuz it had to be 45° when i got to the stand and the wind has been blowin ~15 mph with no sign of slowing down... Oh and they started feeding hay right next to the stand i was gonna hunt this mornin so there were 40 cows that i spooked into a stampede when i came up on em, so i walked back to my other stand and finally got settled in soaking wet with sweat about 15 mins after daylight...oh but these keep me going on days like today

Let a spike walk. But i think someone over the hill probably got him. Someone shot really close to me about 10 mins after he came through.

My dad is up here at this private land with me and he shot simethig a little bit ago but I haven’t seen or heard from him since so i have no clue what it is. Hopefully it’s the big one I fucked up on.

Dad’s. I got down and helped him get it out.

Nope. The 6 from the other day was smaller than that one.

He gutted him where he fell and I think I’m gonna go sit there this evening and see if i can take out a few Coyotes.
