I have a full OME kit with 887 coils. Looking at adding a southern style slimline bumper in the near future. Am I going to need to switch out the coils or will I be fine with the one's I have now?

How much weight is the bumper and are you going to add a winch?

55lbs, will have it cut out for the winch as I am undecided at this time. If I do add the winch, will change the coils out to 886's. Don't do much heavy offroading.

What is the heaviest do you think I would be able to go without having to switch coils. Just looking at doing a bumper now, not sure when I will add a winch. Will cross that bridge when I get there.

200lbs is when 886 are needed. With that said i have them now with zero weight while i wait for my bumper and ride is fine. I talked to a fab shop where owner was running stock with a full steal hoop bumper and he has had no issues also.

I'd say 125-150 lbs. I had about 125lbs off the front with 884s and they did fine. Now I'm closer or over 200lbs with 886s which work well.

Been running in my new OME kit for a couple months and have some vibration. It's not the needle bearing, yet. I got an alignment when I put on the new shoes and thought maybe it was a bad alignment job. It's slowly getting worse and I'm starting to think it's coming from the rear end. I looked at my bump stops and they aren't pointing straight up along with my U bolts. Could this be my culprit?

Check your before driveline angles with your post lift angles. What's the degree of difference? Is it over spec now? I think spec is 1 degree.

No pre-lift angles were taken to compare too. Does anyone have a picture to compare with mine?

Lol. Well not taking pregame measurements will F you over good. There is a YouTube video of how to troubleshoot it. Let me see if I can find it on my phone.

You can download an app then take measurements like the video above. One trick my friend at the Toyota dealer taught me was to use a socket on the u-joint so it gives you a little more room to work. I've used this method on my Jeep and it worked every time.

I will see if I have enough light outside to check tonight. Thanks for the video, that explains a lot!

Just curious when using the OME Kit, and with the added weight of a front bumper, going with the 886 coils, should the struts be firm, or soft? I'll be running a CBI full hoop steel bumper.

Whichever you want really. I liked stiff but now I like soft.

Does the front bounce a lot or nose dive?

Not at all. 886s are stiff. I'm fully armored with a winch too.

    Workin' on it....
So my current set up is a 2013 DCSB. Front 1/4" steel IFS skid (80lbs) (I have mid and transfer case skids too - all 1/4" but haven't gotten around to the exhaust reroute yet) currently on the truck & aluminum plate bumper & winch are planned. On the rear I currently have an AllPro Dual swing out bumper, spare tire, rotopax cans and Leer fiber glass canopy, high lift, tools - probably pushing 500lbs of weight.

Do 887's w/ 90000 firm Nitrochargers and a heavy Dakar pack sound reasonable to get 2 - 2.5" of lift (basically trying to avoid UCA's and/or extending brake lines) with a slight positive rake?

Should I be going 885's and 90021 instead?
