I want to install some lights on my voodoo bed rack, specifically in the rear for back up or nightlight. Do you have any pics of people installing them on a voodoo bedrack?

Oh man.....I know it's been done, but where those pics are is anybody's guess.

A company called Truck-Lite even sent us some samples. They saw our rack in the parking lot of a mountain bike trail and tracked us down. Really good guys.

I plan to mount two white LED lights in the corners for reverse/work lights and a red LED light in the center as an aux brake light since the tall rack covers the 3rd brake light. Just waiting until I take it all apart to send to get powder coated first.

Does anyone know if the rack with tonneau cover brackets will fit correctly with a Tyger Auto tonneau cover brackets? I think the brackets will accommodate cover size vertically but I'm just wondering if they mount in separate locations

From the looks of that cover, it shouldn't be a problem.

This is what our brackets look like. They go under the cover, obviously. Also, your accessory rail must be in the factory location (some covers relocate it).

Is the tonneau bracket supposed to be black? Mine came silver.

Setup is awesome although the powder coat on the rack wasn't the greatest as it was peeling and bubbling all over. Chad was nice enough to hook me up with new side rails with a better finish, but now the rest of the rack is bubbling and peeling. I just bought some spray to recoat it so it wont start to rust. My Tent fits perfectly. My intentions were to be able to back the truck into my garage and lower the tent on the rack and drive out but with the tent on, its too high to clear my garage and so i'm stuck. I now need to have someone to help me lift the 150lb tent onto the rack. But all in all, rack is awesome and i get lots of comments on it!

BTW I have the tonneau brackets and it works well with my Retrax. Only issue is that it causes the rails of my cover to be off alignment just a smudge that when sliding open or closed it requires a little more effort. Sometimes it rubs since the rails are closer together now. I used the thick weather stripping from home depot to seal the bed but it still leaks a little bit.

I have the same be cover as you do, it looks like you could've come down another 1/8" or so and maybe cut down on the leaks. Any reason you went with that weather strip instead of something a little thinner?

so the white stripping you see there was 1/2 inch but it didn't even touch the rail of the retrax. (the tonneau brackets caused a huge gap.) So i bought the expensive 1inch Frost King stripping that creates a better water seal when its crushed all the way. When i tightened the tonneau brackets it caused the retrax rails to turn inward just a bit which causes the small rubbing of the cover when opening and closing. It still leaks water just a tad i think from the front of the bed..not sure where its coming from.

Buying a Hi Lift jack, how are people mounting it to the voodoo rack? Locking option would be a must...

I did something I haven't seen on here before and it's my ideal setup for light offroading, camping and general security. Better photos of it all tomorrow!

Retrax onemx with long bed rack on a short bed. No issues with it and great service from @KB Voodoo

any leaks or special installation pointers you had to do to accommodate the tonneau cover brackets?
I have the same exact rack and brackets and on the hunt for a good tonneau cover. That looks like the winning number their for me, just didn't like that rolling covers take up a lot of room at the front of the bed.

The retrax doesn't take a lot of room up front and still gives you decent space to store items underneath. A tip is to load the assembled tonneau a bit before where the top two tonneau brackets go and slide it in for a good fit. If you try to drop it in from up top to slide it down it won't fit due to the bolt size. Other than that, installation was easy.

Everything else is simple, build the rack upside down on the ground and then mount it to save headaches further down the road.
