Yeah... I'm just rockin' 1.01b for the time being. It's never quite as awesome as the 1.02c after flash but it doesn't degrade nearly as much over time for my truck specifically.

Did you notice a big difference going back to 1.01b? I've got probably 1800 miles on 1.02c-C and noticed it doesn't seem as spunky. Kept wondering if it's just me getting used to the tune + only so much that can be done with 2 over drive gears ...Trans is pretty well behaved but I do find myself popping over to sport mode more often especially in the mountains...

1.01b is definitely more muted than 1.02c. It's definitely peppier

I had over 1k miles on 102c 91 octane A shift and it never acted up or reverted back to "i don't know what gear i'm supposed to be in" mode. I recently switched to 102c 91 octane C shift to try it out and for my city driving I like that it shifts out of 1st quickly. I've got about 200 miles on C shift and no problem with shifting. I did notice however that my mpg ave did go down when I switched from A to C. As for the cruise control it's still confused.

Once truck is broken in - get some good baseline Dyno runs with stock wheels and tires and then do a more elaborate run with the tunes. Drive it for 500-1000 miles with a tune, see if it seems to degrade (is it all trans or something more going on) - maybe do another dyno run after 1000 miles with tune to see how much is placebo or if there is a real degradation in performance...

Hey @OVTune , dunno if you caught my post above, but I'd love to know if there's anything you can do for the cold engine fuel economy. It may be that the current settings are totally necessary, I'm obviously not an engineer, but it's murderous on my short hop mileage.

On that note, the truck seems real jumpy when cold, again I'm figuring that's down to excessive RPMs and fuel consumption in the cold engine programming. Anything that can be done?

    Thanks for any reply!

So I just noticed something yesterday. I punched it at a stop light, foot 100% to the floor from a stand still which I never do. Truck bogged down and misfired horribly for 2 seconds or so. Tried it again with turning off traction control (held button down while stopped) and the same thing happened. Foot to the floor. Tires didn't brake loose, just misfire and bucking..

Running 1.02c 87 octane. Has anyone had this? I'm thinking it might be the good old cps too..

@OVTune here is what I want out of the tune. Squeeze more low end torque out of the power train. I still feel there is a sudden large increase in power around 2500-3000RPM. It is a spike, like a two stroke getting on the pipe. I also think the the tune can make improvements off the line. WOT from a stop still causes the truck to fall on its face. Thanks for all your work on the tune and can't wait for more power.

Edit: I bought the tune for increase in power, not fuel economy or drive ability. Firmer quicker shifts would also be on my list.

My main concern is the tune maintaining the same consistency over time.

I like nice firm shifts and hate gear hunting.
I commute with my truck but I occasionally like to hall ass and wouldn’t mind some additional power.

Once you send out the first batch of kits and I’m able to test the tune I can probably provide some better feedback and maybe even a wishlist.

    + 1 on this.

I love using ECT mode but feel like the shifting takes to long and need to be firmer.

S mode Should be quicker in shift when shifting up. I drive my work van (Chevy 1500) everyday and that thing shift alomst right away when upshifting.

I’m aware, I think I should have reworded that. I meant since I don’t have the tune yet I can’t really request much since I haven’t tried anything you’ve put out. Once I finally get a chance, I’ll provide my feedback.
I’m sick right now and trying not to fuck this up since I’ve taken some strong shit to help me sleep.

A recent poll indicates strongly (39.5 % of respondents ) that you should drive the R&D Taco on the stock calibration for 1k miles. Then you'll be a 3rd gen 'bro.

Im not joking about that, what good is developing the tune if you dont feel where it all came from? drive it for a couple weeks on the stock tune.

Feel the burn of the learn
