TRD Pro Grille for $140?

did you get this from Cali Raised? Because the one I ordered from them is the exact same one as this style, with the filled out 'A' and everything.

 

Received my grille.
High quality. Solid. Wouldn't know it's aftermarket.
This is the one where you screw in the toyota logo, not individual letters.
Weighs 3 lbs 10.0 ozs. with logo installed.

 

Cali-raised didn't design this grill, same way they don't design their LED light bars. They simply buy en-masse from China and ship them out of their warehouse in the US. I'm betting they are paying around $30-40 a grill, maybe less, judging from the pictures they posted they probably ordered 200-400 of them. They will still be selling them because people think that their grill is different because in the description they say "after months of work perfecting the grill", gives the illusion that theirs is a better fit than then the $140 one. This China grill has been around for awhile, I've seen it on Alibaba as early as July but it was still around $300 then.

 

I’ll have to remind myself to use a flathead screw driver or I’ll be in the same boat as @NJtaco421.

 

Cali Raised didn’t design a thing. They simply bought them off Alibaba. I had my Alibaba grill two days before Cali-Raised posted theirs. You can also find all of their lights on Alibaba as well. The only thing that company does is buy from Alibaba and charge you a premium for it. They don’t design shit.

 

Exactly, I am so glad they tried to rape me on shipping to AK, gave me time to explore other avenues and saved $100 in the process. Could have saved another $50-70 if I’d have waited for this thread to show up but I am happy with what I got and paid and even more happy I didn’t give them a dime. Sleazy business.

 

In my opinion this grill looks awesome and I’d definitely buy it before I paid 400.00 for the OEM TRD Pro grill. Especially since everyone on TW has bought the 140.00 version. I’ll be different anyway.

 

One day later ordering but same response I got today when I messaged the seller... waiting time I guess. All you guys who jumped early cleared out the stock here in the US it appears!

LOL in combination with a flathead. Some of them needed some persuasion via finger (giggity). I HIGHLY recommend some type of gloves and a flathead to depress them. also, maybe bring grille inside an hour before trying if its cold outside, plastic is always more malleable when warm.

 

More sound advice. Much appreciated.
