Yes, LEDs headlights in stock reflectors is not the way to go. I believe the melting issue is caused by the DTRLs though, so you could swap the DTRL bulbs for LEDs leaving the halogen headlight bulbs and maybe prevent it from getting worse.

You could also look at the OEM TSB sport smoked chrome headlights (like the Pro) which have the issue fixed, see the 05-11 links under section 3). They are about $335 for the set.

And of course there is the full retrofit option if you want to change your lighting technology platform.

Ran out of daylight. Just have to ground the retrofits and clean up the wiring. Haven’t even gotten a chance to turn them on.

My ADD got me and I decided to respool my winch after pulling the grill and seeing it. Then after I got the OEM lights out, I decided it was a good time to put in the Group 31M deep cycle battery. Of course I had to extend wires for all that too (still need to finish that).

    SQUIRREL!

Thanks! Looking forward to aiming them tonight and seeing how the light output is compared to the OEM halogens.

Now to figure out how to use this thing...

If I can figure out how to get the tranny temp to show, it’ll be $50 well spent.

I just picked up a 4K tv on Wednesday. Pretty noticeable difference between 4K and HD. The extra 13” of screen help too.

That is a great deal! I’ve got a good shop vac now but I’m considering this one for the convenience factor. I’ve been waiting on it to go on sale or have some sort of deal going. I’m also waiting on a killer deal on a Weber LP grill.

Indeed about the not having to drag out a cord. If you see anything come across for Weber, please text me!

Looking forward to Melvin’s on Monday. I’ll text you when I leave the house and start heading your way.
