    What bumper are you talking about? First gen frame horns vary from 96-97 to 98-00 to 01-04 so some bumpers made specifically for first gens won't fit all model years the same to begin with and they're specifically made for a Tacoma, never mind a 4Runner.

    @Timmah! might know. I can't say for certain, but my intuition's telling me they're not a straight across match. I'd call up a company that makes skids for both models like Budbuilt or All-Pro :notsure:

    Savage off road 3rd gen 4runner bumper for 04 prerunner. Seems the 4runner is about 2” wider.

    Yeah a "little trimming" is variable depending on the skill set and tools available to the person saying it. If they could give you some detailed pictures it would help to see if it's a good choice for sure!
