The Toyota website for building a Tacoma is absolute garbage.

Change the zip code and you can do different options. I wish they would just let you build any configuration possible, rather than limit it depending on what is currently available in your region.

I've been playing around with that already. Apparently you can get the Tech Package separate in Texas, whereas usually it appears to be dependent upon whether or not you get the Premium package. I'm not sure what region this falls under tho if anyone would like to clarify.

Tech and Premium are separate for 2018 in all regions.

Agreed. Is everyone else seeing the same thing when they select the leather option for TRD OR. I mean WTF is this? It's killing me. I assume they are just f*king with me, and it can be changed?

I couldn't get them separate... When I chose leather it said "you have to have XYZ package" so I said "Add". On the package section it showed the Premium package with a bullet-point that said "technology package" as if it were a part of the premium package.

This is an option (LC21) but only on certain colors. LC27 is gunmetal dash and black leather and will be available on all colors. I have attached the color chart with seating material.

I bet (but could be wrong) you have to have the tech to have premium... but don’t need premium to have tech.

That is the only allocation that is available right now that is to be built or has been built and is in inventory. That is also why some people can only see certain colors. Once inventory is built up in the regions it will populate correctly. Remember this "Build" is not really build what you want, it only lets you "Build" what is in the system currently for inventory.

It's what I want for a daily driver and occasional Home Depot run so no changing that but what do you think of the price? Comes with premium off-road and tech packages.

Educate me. If I'm a Costco member, I can get a discount?

Well that's what they say. I'm in L.A. Tacomas sell exceptionally well here. Trying to get a feel from you guys and how fair this price is. No negotiations so far. Just strictly the Costco "discount"

Thank you Toyota. I now have a one of a kind. Off road with the JBL Premium package with heated cloth seats.

I can just see my dog scratching up the leather.

See picture of my truck below.

    Unicorn farting a rainbow.

Cloth is a nightmare. Leather cleans up so much easier. I would use a pad or put a blanket down for the dog if worried about scratches on leather.

Today's a big day with the 2018's officially on the toyota website. I want to thank everyone on this thread, it's been a wild ride and I think many people never thought we'd get here.

    Special shout out to:

-The guy who started it all; xCountryGuy04x - pretty sure he was here a few weeks and never came back.
-The guy who posted the first pictures from the texas fair.
-Knooger - your quick photoshop of the cavalry blue tacoma fooled more people than caitlyn jenner.
-BountyOR_VF2 AKA the emma watson gif guy.
-The brake boys for your several pages of disk vs drums
-techman993 for his astute grammatical awareness and uncanny ability to fix things for you.

I'm looking forward to the "What's the chatter on the 2019s" thread that will start in a few weeks.
