    Yes, if you have separate coupons for each item they will be honored--however the %-off coupon is only applicable to the most expensive non-specific coupon, non-excluded (see the fine print on the %-off coupon) item. I..e you cannot apply the %-off to a specific coupon item.

    The %-off coupons have become much more restrictive over the years, get a magnifier and read the disclaimer...

    They do, as long as you don't lean on them too hard. I had an HF 1/2" drive 10 mm key that I tried to used to get the steering wheel pinch bolt off my SL500--bent up like a twizzler, had to buy one from Mac to break it loose...

    We have well over two dozen of the black LED lights--I think we used every damned one of them in our 10 days without power after Irma. I wore one on a lanyard around my neck so I could see to refuel the generator in the middle of the night (9 hrs/tank)...

    I was in HF today with a freebie coupon for that neat "switchplate" looking light (in an above post) and 20% off coupon burning a hole in my pocket looking for something to buy so I could get the freebie--I ran across this which I have seen before but never crossed the line on.

    It is their $11.99 with the -20% coupon:

    Nice tools, the "clink" when they touch indicates good steel properly hardened and the sizes fit everything we own (that's what I told SWMBO, but they really do).

    The only problem now is that my accountant (also SWMBO) says I and forbidden to go to HF until next month...

    Yeah, the sign should say "Toys 'R Us". I have been buying from them since they were Harbor Freight and Salvage and mail order only out of North Hollywood.

    Thank you for keeping this on the QT...

    FYI got home and checked both my HF wrenches. neither the 1/4in or the 1/2in have any adjustment abilities at all. That pic is of a VERY old part number for the 1/4in wrench.

    Also as others have stated, something is going on within HF with a rebranding / replacing of things to higher priced different part number equivilants. i have NEVER before seen them sold out of torque wrenches (i needed a 3/8ths), they were also sold out of the digital torque wrench adapter to which the employee said thats been sold out for a long time. Same goes for the pliers / things of that nature.

    Now we are not talking about some small ass HF store. We are talking the MAIN store, the place if you want to mail or call harbor freight you call there, the place where everything gets distributed from (Camarillo CA)...

    I have 6 or 7 clickers, including all three sizes of HF's offerings--all nearly 10 years old though--they are all adjustable. One that is not is worthless, worse than not having a torque wrench. Not being adjustable makes having the digital thingy even more vital, enabling one to at least validate, and set a non-adjustable wrench to the desired actual torque rather than go by the micrometer reading...

    I have their 3 and 6 ton jack stands too. I bought the 6 ton ones for the added height.

    I could not believe that HF was selling a torque wrench that couldn't be calibrated--so I went and bought one (I needed another 1/2" drive as I only had two). Had a coupon for $9.99 for 1/4", 3/8" or 1/2" (see below). What I found is that HF is no longer cloning the old, old Mac Tools design; but is now cloning the just plain old S-K design.

    This design is calibrated by backing off the torque adjustment to 5 - 10 lb·ft, then:
    1. Removing the large nut at the handle end;
      it should not be so tight that you cannot hold the adjustment sleeve by hand and loosen it with a wrench;
    2. Adjust the threaded insert that pre-loads the main spring;
      turn it in small increments (1/8 turn or so), clockwise to increase the applied torque, anti-clockwise to decrease.
    3. Replace the nut carefully so as to no upset the setting;
      tighten it a bit, hold the adjustment sleeve in your hand, tighten the nut with a wrench;
    Now set the wrench to a target torque and retest, repeat as necessary to get it dialed in to the target, then test other settings and tweak as needed.

    BTW, out of the box the new HF 1/2" drive wrench applied a consistent 81.5 to 82.5 lb·ft when set to 75 lb·ft--an error of +8.7 to +10%. I did not test other settings.

    With 4 or 5 retries I was able to get it dialed in to 74.6 to 76.0 lb·ft, an error of just -0.5 to +1.3%. It was dead on a 30 lb·ft and off by +2.0% at 120 lb·ft.

    Here's the coupon I used, good 'til 1/3/18 (just print it on an ink-jet printer, that what I did)

    [IMG]

    Here's a coupon for that neat "wall switch" LED light they just introduced, good 'til 1/20/18 (it ripped when I took it from the mailer, but they scanned a printout with no problem)

    Awesome but now I need one of the digital things to calibrate mine. Does HF have those?
