I am looking at a 1984 Viking trailer. Looks to be in pretty good shape and the guy selling it only wants 300 bucks. Says the tires on it are good. The only issue is a rip in the canvas. My Dad did some canvas repair to his old spring bar tent. Anyone have any experience with these trailers? looking online it doesn't look like the dry weight ever really gets over 1500 pounds so I think my 1st gen V6 shouldn't have too much of an issue with it. I have towed more and been fine.

What's the max someone has towed with a 2016 V6?

A few years back I bought a 76 Starcraft popup and the canvas was shot. As old as it was we were able to buy a complete new canvas set for it for about $700 Bucks. We used it for 10 years then sold and bought something newer. Get in touch with Viking, you should be able to do the same.

someone claimed to have towed a 5k lb trailer, I know I have towed +/- 3.5K lbs with my buddys boat and trailer and that was pretty easy, truck didn't seem to mind too much except for one of the times pulling out of the boat docks it decided to get one of those infamous Tacoma bogs and basically give me no power at all to try and tug the boat with for a second

I pulled a Coleman with the 7. It did the job but sucked for power. Popup are pretty limited for storage. I put a roof rack and car carrier on mine. Get to camp, unload it and raise it up.

Definitely put new tires on it. Tread doesn't mean shit, if they're old as f*ck tires. 3-5 years tops, replace 'em if they're older than that.
