The chrome piece pops right out. No glue or anything. It looks as a lot better just like this. I'm just thinking / looking for something that would stick on there. It is 2 7/16in diameter and just slightly convex.

I asked a sticker maker. They thought that the holes and embossing would show through typical vinyl.

There is thread somewhere that I couldn't find but they used these. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00SURIG74/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=I31HISFZLQ2RXL&colid=26W62MC83F8OA
I was thinking about doing those when I do this. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/trd-or-wheel-vinyl.504412/

Thanks! Those stickers would almost be the ticket. I'd prefer it if they were blank. Tried searching with no luck.

That is a surprising difference with the wheel vinyl. The less shiny parts, the better.

Wouldn't it be better for a car to hit the plastic bumper, tailgate, etc instead of all of the force going right to the frame? Body panels can be replaced, frame damage is killer.

:) .........man you just had to ruin that mod for that poor guy. True though and then you wouldn't be able to justify the plate bumper........when it happens

I totally agree. I bought a beaver step and never used it. If someone hits me in the rear I will be on the internet ordering a plate bumper before the insurance adjuster shows up.

This is exactly what happened to my truck which ended up totaling it because of frame damage. I got rear ended with my camper in tow and the force of the impact on the tow package destroyed my frame in the rear. Absolutely no damage on the tailgate or even the bumper! It did am save me from getting injured though.

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
I've got a similar one but if the frame bends before it does then it's an awful weak frame. Someone hitting you while towing a trailer with a big frame is a little different.

Drove around like this today to see how the Sport/PRO owners cope with their hood scoops.
I’ll stick with my OR and normal hood.
