Sounds like your door sticker is accurate. Hopefully you can find a 4.30 gearset to put in that front diff.

Thanks. I just called the yard I bought it from - it even says 4.30 on the invoice. I'm way past the 30 day window, I bought it back in July.

Well had a perfect o_O end to this totally crappy week. Getting ready to wash my truck and noticed this.
    4CAC17D0-6856-4BD2-9146-70727BFFF858.jpg

Toyota corporate told me it was covered until 8/17. Checked over it all with a hammers a couple months ago and never found a weak spot. Was going to pressure wash all under the truck and use same interior frame paint I bought a few days ago. Totally bummed and aggravated about it. No it’s not a huge place but still it’s a hole

Well damn where'd you manage to find all that stuff in one place. I had to buy parts from almost ten different sources. How much did you pay for everything and what do you still need?

Paid 900 for the bed full. The rear diff is just another 8.4 4.10 like I have in my truck. Reason I took it is he made it part of the package deal price and I can build it with the 4.56 True Trac and swap it out with limited down time on the truck. The front diff is also a 4.10 also getting the matching 4.56 True Trac. The trans is manual which I may or may not use depending on how much trouble I have finding an auto. The drive shafts I took purely for the stock to build my shafts out of. Front spindles with manual hubs and front drive axles all will be used on my truck. All mounting brackets and bolts which are in zip lock bags labeled for what they belong with. Got the interior shifter trim for the standard shift if I decide to use it along with an extra cross member with Trans mount. Basically I need an A340F output shaft and interior 4X4 trim if I go auto, Get my drive shafts built, and my True Tracs. Probably some other odds and ends but I am getting really freakin close!

Got it all from a guy who bought a parts truck thinking he was going to do the swap and changed his mind.

Wow you got a good deal for that stuff. So far I'm about $1,500 in including all parts and new seals + fluids. Paid $120 to have the manual hubs sandblasted and powdercoated black/red.

Yeah this took a bit of back and forth and I got lucky that every other person who replied to the ad flaked on him. He finally just got sick of all the phone calls from people without money and wanted it all gone so he could pull the ad. I'm gonna wind up with about 2500 in the swap but that will be with all new bearings and seals and fresh diffs.

My truck has always been in the south. I think it was in Va for a little bit but in Tn the rest of the time. Hadn’t seen any rust on it at all.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
You should see my GoPro footage from Denver Creek, the GoPro was looking over the bumper but attached to the body. Crazy amount of movement, can't believe the body never hit the bumper.
