That is a sick collection of blades, but two of them are really making my OCD tick!

Ha, yeah, totally get that. You'd super hate it now, I have the two largest upside down!!!! I'm pretty OCD too but alas, that's how they stick best to the magnet tracks and/or is the side without the big ugly "MADE IN..." or whatever. Prefer to see the maker name or model name to the place it was made personally.

The Kabar and the J Martini are facing opposite every other blade. I want to reach through my screen and flip them!

    Gift from my uncle.

no clue on what model it is. but D'Holder custom.
If anyone knows anything about them let me know. Really curious what steel is used and hardness. Found it to be a pain in the ass to sharpen but took an amazing edge. So thinking its something rather hard. Much harder to sharpen than S35VN.

D'Holder uses ATS-34 for his knives. He is a top notch maker and lives in the Phoenix area.

Blue is my favorite color, so when they came out with the blurple I had to have it. And I like that this model comes with S110V.

That is a truly gorgeous and hard-to-find gift you got right there. That knife in particular has to be the favorite one of anything I've seen him make. Hang on to that one.

Yep I found out now what it is. Definitely a nice one to hold onto. And definitely not going to be used in the bush like I planned

I don't know... life's too short NOT to use it. It can always be polished back up. I'd rather build a lifetime of good memories out of it, unless you're just using it as an investment. Might be worth double in about 30 years, but what's the fun in that? I say wear and use it with pride.

How would you get it polished the same again? Cause there is a slight scruff on the tip I'd love to get rid of.

And that is true. But I have other fixed blades that for better in hand and have a better spine for striking fire steel.

I might use it for other tasks. But not like I'll start batoning with it etc

anything else I'd prob do it myself basically with rubbing compound start with some 600grit and keep working it down to the finest grit sandpaper you can get...10,000 grit or higher. BUT seeing this is a quality knife Id contact the company or guy that made it rather and see if he could re-polish as he knows what he's doing ;)
