Most folks describe it as the rumble strip feeling. At first I thought it was a tranny issue. Have you put some weight in the bed yet to aide in troubleshooting? At a minimum tough, I would take it in and have them drive it.

You really can't see anything, you need 2 wrenches, either a 18mm or 21mm can't remember the exact size.
While the truck is parked just loosen the nuts/ bolts on the springs, one at a time, if you hear a snapping sound while you are loosening them, then they were tightened on the lift, n/g. Now you can re-tighten them and the bushing is in the correct position. it should take you about 10 mins to do. In a nut shell all your doing is loosing and then re-tightening them.

Seems like you have an SR5, so you should be able to get TSB done without much hassale.

Here’s the scratches...Zero clue on how those could get there while my car was at the dealer...

Interesting update to my issue. I've had the symptoms described in the TSB since I bought my truck. It's a 2wd Sport so the TSB didn't apply per Toyota. The first time I took it in, they applied the ECM update and sent me on my way. The second time I took it in, they said it was the rear drums and replaced them. I knew it wasn't the drums but hey, I got new drums out of it. Both visits didn't fix the issue at all. So I took it in again last week and they put me in a loaner and "opened a case with Toyota." I picked it up today and the paperwork referenced this TSB, they replaced both leafs and installed the steering damper. The vibrations are 99% gone. I was so used to anticipating the vibrations that driving my truck today was comical, it's like a whole new vehicle.

Moral of this story is that the issue can exist in a 2wd, despite what the TSB says. I was about to give up on the truck, to the point I drove a Silverado around for a day but decided to give my Taco another go. Now the damn salesman won't quit calling me.

Hi, I have a 2017 TRD sport and I have the vibration issue 100% of the time. After 45min on the highway my hands go numb. Corporate will not do the SB because it falls outside the SB. Waiting to see what my dealer will do. At this point I have a new truck with 5k miles I cannot drive. This is my 4th and last Toyota truck.

This TSB is for vibrations/rumble strip feeling when coming to a stop, not highway driving. I think you might have something else going on.

    Welcome to the forum.

I have a service appointment next week. We will see. Corp said that’s the truck. My reply was, “I have a truck I cannot use”. They basically said, oh well. Brand new truck 5000 miles.......

I had my service appointment last Wed. They road forced balanced all tires and checked everything they could. Problems is STILL there. The service MGR said Toyota will be in touch and we will set up time for a Toyota Eng/service tech to fix my truck. Well, heard from my case Mgr today and Toyota will do nothing. They feel the truck is operating within normal limits. Normal limits is my hands going numb after 10 min on the highway. The case Mgr said maybe my dealer might work with me for a trade in.. really...... $35k for a new truck, 5000 miles and I have a truck I CANNOT drive and I cannot get any help. WOW. Any suggestions????
