    A little lift and a little armor
    Don't do the final tightening of the castle nut on the swingout until you have all the weight (tire+gas cans+propane+maxttaxs+spork) the weight will dictate how tight it needs to be. And then recheck it about a week later (and regrease) after the bearings have settled.

    This will help keep the gate aligned with the latch so it closes properly.

    And like everyone said, I wouldn't get rotopax. My set broke on me on the washboards in JT.

    It's easy enough to do after the fact...

    On that note, what size socket was that nut. All I remember was it has to be then walled. I need to adjust mine today but will need to buy the socket.

    Thanks!!!

    Also, some things to consider: putting a couple teflon/nylon or copper washers between the latch handle to take away the slop and help it slide better. As well as adding a little grease to the springs of the two locking pins. After a while mine started sticking a little. Added a little grease, and they've been good for years now. :thumbsup:

    No because California is expensive as shit. If I came from somewhere that's as cheap to live as NC I wouldn't be wanting to move to California. Everyone I know who's moved out of California recently has said they'll likely never move back to California. And I can't say I blame them

    Ya but i was also looking at jobs here in NC for a similar position I'm currently in and they're getting paid the same. My friend who works for the city of charlotte found a PM job listing which matches everything I do that pays a bit more than what I make currently. Good thing about having the higher salary now is I've got more negotiating room for pay, lower living costs or not.
