Yes, I've done that before to basically extend the time to get a smog done. Maybe I'll try the same with this. At least get the fees sent in so they aren't late and racking up fines. - Thanks for the idea

I left that hole in '87 at 17. There isn't a reason in the world I'd move back there for.

Last one... is be on my way to pick it up and hold onto it till the appointment time.... but I am paranoid.

If you were in the Bay Area, I would have passed your info to one of the Toyota Corp service reps up there for some string pulling... but I don't know anyone in SoCal that can help.

But it sounds like you are good.

Thanks for the offer corprin. The Parts guy walked the part to the service guy and attached it to my ticket. He also sold it to my ticket so its out of the inventory. Should be good to go.

Man this makes me feel that much more fortunate that my '04 passed it's CA smog test a couple weeks ago, I went in totally expecting them to say I failed...to my surprise they said I passed free and clear. Even with the URD 7th injector installed which is not CARB legal, but the tech didn't notice it. 2 more worry free years, lol.

Here in Washington my 2009 doesn't need a smog test since it meets CA standards. Alas this place is turning into another PRK.

I like Utah where a state legislator argued against increasing the fee ($15.75 for 5 years) for concealed firearms licenses because citizens who travel armed are doing a public service by making society safer :).

Same thing going in Reno. All the idiots moving up to work at the Tesla plant from the SF area. Don't get me wrong, I'm originally from CA but have lived outside of the state more than in it for the last 12 years and prefer elsewhere better.

Didn’t see your tag until now. Wasn’t even aware of this issue. I’ll be looking into it now for sure. My registration is due in January so hopefully it will be resolved by then. Thx for the heads up.

I'm glad I don't live in California but Washington isn't much better unless you're super liberal and don't mind extra fees and taxes added to your registration to pay for stuff you'll never use.
