Did you get to hook up with any TW people while you were here?

Western NC and Upstate SC I think are pretty similar people wise. If I had to choose a place in NC to live it would be Morganton.

My last bill was $99.32. The next bill is $98.89. :bananadance: I been Scrooging it with the thermostat this year after around $200 bills last year.

I'll be looking for some jobs. Having my buddy keep an eye out for any jobs for the city (charlotte) as he works for the city at the airport now.
@SC2SC and I met up on Thursday night for some beers at Old Meck. I had posted in the Charlotte thread but it went ignored so oh well. If I made the move out here I'd probably stay around charlotte as my friend lives here. As Jonathan pointed out to me a lot of the banks are based in the area, and I'm currently in the banking industry but want to get out, but it could land me a job here so we'll see.

Should not be hard to find a job in the Charlotte area at all. Wife and I both are in IT and entertained the idea of moving there, and there were plenty of available jobs.

@SC2SC is good people. If you had posted here while in town I bet a mini TW meet would have happened. Seems to happen pretty routinely. lol

I tried a few days before I came out and didn't get much a response in here either and then I forgot to post again while here as I was busy doing shit haha.

What exactly in IT do you do? My degree is in management information systems and I'm currently a junior/project manager at a bank. I've got about a year and a half left before I can take my PMP, but may try and do it anyways early and just hope I don't get audited lol

Servers, workstations, printers, etc. Grunt work about 50% of the time. PHP/MySQL dev 25% of the time. Project and remote tech management the other 25%. If you have Six Sigma experience your services will be well regarded within the manufacturing companies here. I'm only a green belt right now, but really want to get to black belt and enjoy that giant salary.

Edit: I didn't see you post that you were here or I would have bought you a beer!

I think @themadzapflasher has his PMP...

Enjoyed the beer the other day! How cool we did the same back in July in the OC...!?!

Remember- I am in SC with lower taxes and no vehicle inspection like @misdirection1982 said- close to uptown CLT and the airport.

There are two different sizes- might be wrong but a slightly smaller size for 1st gen tacos and slightly larger for early 90's Toyota P/U.

I only have the basic six sigma thing where nothing is really required. White belt maybe? I dunno. Would like to get my green belt but I doubt that will happen soon with my position unfortunately. PMP would be a great starting point though. I do have my CAPM which doesn't hold a significant amount of value though.
Yes! Was cool getting to grab a beer here with you as well. I'd look in to some SC areas as well, but would want to stay close to the border.
I've got your number so I may shoot you a text about this!

I was only there to experience life outside of my county in California. Never lived anywhere else. Moved there with my woman and we split temporarily right about when our lease was ending, so we headed home and then got back together. :)

I loved it there, SC felt as close to home as anything. Was always nice to leave Charlotte and head south. Charlotte was nice too, but I’m not a city person.
