    Fuck the city. We went to eat at Macs BBQ. The new apartments across the street there are the same damn price as California. 1100 a month for a studio! Fuck that nonsense. That's what I'm trying to get away from.

    Macs was good. Would eat again. Big Daddy’s/Bad Daddy’s around the corner was good too. It’s kinda between Old Meck and Macs, IIRC.

    Also I paid $595 for a 1100 sq ft 1/1.5 in Strawberry Village, came with free cable and garbage, and $40 more got me in your washer and dryer. Moved back home to CA and was like.. fuck your $1600 a month rent. I’ll just buy a house.

    Now I’m spending $2100, but I’ve also made at least $80k in equity since Dec 2014.

    Ideally I'd like to just buy a house. My friend and his wife have a 3 bedroom house that he owns that I could live in for a month or so until I find somewhere to buy or rent. if I'm going to rent I really want a garage so I can at least take my RTT off and have additional storage. I'm over the apartment life. Plus washer and dryer in house is the most underrated applicance ever.

    What industry are you in? My wife has started working with head hunter based in Charlotte that is primarily in the engineering world I can see about forwarding his info to you.

    Agreed, My wife and I have looked into relocating to Charlotte if she dose an inter UTC transfer, and just buy a house plenty of options with garages for under 300k depending on where you are.

    I'm in the banking industry currently, but I would rather not continue in banking. Too many fucking regulations and takes forever for anything to get done.

    Not sure if I have enough saved up for a down payment yet for a house but I'm workin on it. My goal is to own in 2-3 years from now. But living in California paying 1300 for rent alone will push that back to 5 or more years. Luckily I'm still rent free at home with my parents but definitely ready to get outta California
